Thank you, Michelle Malkin -

"More people favor a WALL than ever before.  The shutdown worked in raising awareness."

It’s funny you just repeat the latest GOP talking point (and thank its bearer!) can’t wait to post it here to own us libs…

Did you actually look at the polling to see if it’s true?  It isn’t.

This was 2 months ago, but shows the trend (which HAS continued)

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/dec/18/support-trump-border-wall-sets-record-though-still/

So a poll from before the shutdown (one poll) shows that the shutdown made the wall more popular?

Think you want to take another pass at this.

[Edit:  January 14th Quinnipiac poll, during shutdown, puts opposition at 55 percent, while the same poll you cited was at 54 percent before.  That is not indicative of the shutdown making the wall more popular.]

•Though a majority of Americans reject major expansion of walls on the U.S.-Mexico border, three-fourths of the public favors another method of increasing border security -- the hiring of "significantly more" border patrol agents.

A human wall instead of a concrete one.
A wall, is a wall, is a wall.

Yes, the majority of Americans basically want the border sealed by a human wall of armed guards.

More agents - all part of the big picture, bambu.  COMPREHENSIVE tightening of security - at ports of entry and between.

And ASYLUM will still exist.  We aren't shutting out needy immigrants entirely, though folks want to paint it as such.

Quote
Amazon, which doubled its profits and made more than $11 billion in 2018, won't pay any federal income taxes for the second year in a row, the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy reported on Wednesday.

The company will not be required to pay the standard 21 percent income tax rate on its 2018 profits, and is claiming a tax rebate of $129 million, which ITEP describes as a "a tax rate of negative 1 percent."

Amazon drew ire in 2018 for not paying federal taxes on its $5.6 billion in profits the year before, which was made possible due to tax credits and stock-based compensation, reports Politifact.

Bullshit.

The Border Patrol has been turning away people and refusing to permit applications.

This has been documented and documented and documented.
