I was hoping Bernie wouldn't run and would remain a backstage power broker of sorts instead.  His endorsement would be valuable.  And he'd still have a voice.  I just don't think he's electable.

Ill-considered move by the Dems.

What will they do if Bernie wins the nomination and then disavows the affirmation?

Or if he becomes president?!

Take the nomination away? Pout?

Bernie didn’t beat Clinton in the primaries even with black people pissed about “super predators”
and other stuff thrown up about “slave labor” in the Governor’s mansion, etc.

He ain’t winning the nomination without the base and he will not have the luxury of running against one flawed candidate...

Ah.  But Bernie is wiser now. He has learned to incorporate the party code words of tribalism, racism, to add to his socialism.  And the party has no one else.

Woman refuses to move her designer bag off priority seating in packed train

A video has surfaced of a woman refusing to move her designer handbag off of priority seating in a packed New Jersey train, despite multiple requests and the insistence of a train conductor and transit police.

The woman, pictured in thigh-high green boots, a blue baseball cap and a camel-coloured scarf, is initially shown to be pushing her designer Louis Vuitton handbag into the leg of the man sitting next to her to get him to move.

In a second video, the man next to the seated passenger has left, though her Louis Vuitton bag remains in the middle of the seat next to her, with other passengers continuing to complain about the inconvenience.

The woman still has her headphones in and is looking down at her phone, so to get her attention, the conductor lightly taps her handbag.
“Don’t touch my stuff!” the woman shouts, swatting the man’s hand away.

Finally, transit police enter the train and escort the woman away, and the busy train was finally able to pull away from the station.
She did not cooperate with police and left on her own, the website reported.

#####

What a joke.
No fine for 'woman-spreading', no cooperation with the police and just walked away.
If that'd been a man he would've likely been fined for man-spreading, and when he did not cooperate with the police...arrested.

Yes, some women put their bags on the seats so no one can sit next to them and they can travel in comfort.
Something should be done about it.

Some women push their bags into men to get them to move...if the man pushes back he gets arrested and tossed in jail for 'assaulting a woman'.
Yes, men are being pushed around and beaten down on public transport.
Something should be done about it.

I don't think he has learned any such thing.

And I don't think the party has him. But I do think they have plenty of other folks.

Harris's past enthusiasm for mass incarceration and heavy handed prosecution of truancy and drug offenses does not make her a promising progressive candidate.

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Kamala Harris’ husband sold off potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars of investments in banks, oil companies and a controversial agribusiness giant, according to financial disclosures released by the state Wednesday.

Forms filed this week by Harris, the state attorney general, show her husband, Douglas Emhoff, held interests in a wide range of companies, including Citigroup and Wells Fargo, Valero Energy and Hess Corp. as well as the firm Monsanto.

Can’t be a progressive with a capitalist’s portfolio!
LOL
So she is the one your people are afraid of now?

What principle.do you think owning or.selling a.couple hundred thousand shares of stock violates?

Meanwhile, your party continues to be unconcerned about a Republican president running up record deficits, and over.the next few weeks will take a vote in which a vast majority of its people in Congress will demonstrate that their claims of respecting the Consitution and the separation of powers is pure bullshit.

Trump Admin goes against our national security interests to sell nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia to line the pockets of political allies with cash (and probably those in the admin who pushed and approved the deal, Kushner at the very least) but REDSTAEWARD is so very concerned about Kampala Harris’ “principles” because she is triangulating her positions to align with a general election run.
