58 former national security officials repudiate Trump's claims on the so-called national emergency.

Semantics again -

CRISIS vs EMERGENCY

Needed to call it one thing to get the cash.

AOC OcasioCortezCortezOdanna

Her suggestion on Sunday night that people should consider not having children due to climate change because there is a "scientific consensus" that life will be hard for kids.

Agree completely.  Earth is overpopulated.  Smart woman.  And easy on the eyes.  I see why you are obsessed with her.

What happens when the next President, failing to "get the cash" from Congress on such issues, declares Climate Change and Gun Violence to be national emergencies in order to "get the cash"?

No.  Rather it's a scientific assessment of what's a sustainable human population.  My opinion is not partisan.  Neither party in the US has really addressed the problems of population exceeding what biologists call carrying capacity.  As arable land decreases, the sustainable population will likely drop to around 3  -  4 billion.  Two ways that can happen.  Smaller families or famines.  Which seems more humane?

LOL
10 billion is the most quoted sustainable population by 2100 when smaller family sizes will cause the increase to level off.

Most quoted, least applicable to Earth as it will be at end of century, with much arable land lost to desertification, inundation, saltation, sprawl, and aquifer depletion.  Sustainability is defined as over the long haul, with all renewable resources.

Reduced population doesn't actually harm your Libertarian capitalist vision, so why the defensive giggles?  As many economists have pointed out, you can have more productivity per person, and it's far more sustainable to have greater individual wealth, when population is stabilized at the lower figure.

Not to worry. Earth, according to AOC, will be gone long before then.
I can see why you think she is hot.

We will be treated to the edifying sight of Republicans rediscovering their core principles. Cf., the national debt.

You need a powerful spell to make your green shriveled work.

That "drivel" is the Green Growth plan that the EU has committed itself to.

Her policy was impossible...she realised it was so, and canned it.
