There is simply no better example of GOP/Trumpist dis-ingenuousness and bad faith than the argument that no one should believe Michael Cohen because he is a convicted liar.  This salvo comes, of course, from the Huckster:

Disgraced felon Michael Cohen is going to prison for lying to Congress and making other false statements.  Sadly, he will go before Congress this week and we can expect more of the same.  It's laughable that anyone would take a convicted liar like Cohen at his word, and pathetic to see him given yet another opportunity to spread his lies.

Forget that Cohen's claims will either be backed up by other witnesses or documentation or will be dismissed...the point here is that Cohen was convicted of lying for Trump!  Why was his testimony to congress false?  Because he was repeating the lies the "President" was telling the public!

Huckster and the GOP support Trump.  The lies Cohen told were in support of Trump.  The only reason Huckster et al are disowning Cohen now is because he is no longer lying in support of Trump.  Yet they dare call that into question!

Its truly amazing how bald-faced these liars are.

What happens when the next President, failing to "get the cash" from Congress on such issues, declares Climate Change and Gun Violence to be national emergencies in order to "get the cash"?

You dont think those are noble causes?
I do.  So I'll ask again. What are you going to say when Congress does nothing about these issues and the next pinko, Commie President (who's likely taken away Red's tax cut) decides to declare a National Emergency to "get the cash" to take care of these problems?  You'll no doubt stand and applaud.  I'm certain!!!

You need a powerful spell to make your green shriveled work.

That "drivel" is the Green Growth plan that the EU has committed itself to.

http://www.greengrowthknowledge.org/case-studies/european-union-low-carbon-roadmap

As for the EU's green fantasy...

https://business.financialpost.com/opinion/the-eu-green-hell

The EU Green Hell

The European Union's utopian scheme of transforming itself into a green energy powerhouse is faltering as its fantasy plan is colliding with reality.

Trump is not so foolish as to follow the EU off a cliff.

The point is that this is a misuse of the Emergency Declaration as a mechanism to bypass checks and balances.

Some people think their country's borders being breached by advantage-takers is all sweet.

Others hold a different view and believe that the said invasion is indeed an emergency that needs a serious response.

This, before I saw the naked attempt at witness tampering by a sitting Republican Congressman:

Wow.  The GOP is lost.

Yes.

Trump is taking his cue from his supporters, who believe that if his declaration of an emergency is what's needed to get the wall built then so be it.
"Whatever it takes".
He was elected on the promise of a wall. He's fulfilling that promise...as he should.

Well, then there is this:

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2019/2/26/18241652/mitch-mcconnell-north-carolina-election-fraud-scandal

"How dare you Democrats not do more to prevent us Republicans from cheating!"

Not to mention of course that Voter ID in North Carolina did nothing to prevent this absentee ballot election fraud (not voter fraud.)

Whatever it takes!!!!!! He was elected on the promise of a wall that Mexico would pay for.  He's never going to fulfill it.

Most quoted, least applicable to Earth as it will be at end of century, with much arable land lost to desertification, inundation, saltation, sprawl, and aquifer depletion.
Not to worry. Earth, according to AOC, will be gone long before then.
I can see why you think she is hot.

Citation, with in context quote?  Your understanding of the GND seems both lacking in the actual details and tinged with a misplaced Commiephobia.  And then there's your old johnson, which keeps traitorously ascending whenever you hear her name.

Quote
The conservative response, of course, was entirely predictable. The right reacted exactly as they have reacted to every proposal for social progress since the turn of the 20th century: they denounced it as socialism. You may remember that reaction from unions, Social Security, Medicare, air and water quality regulations, workplace safety standards, seat belts, labeling laws on cigarettes, or Obamacare.

And they lied about it, projecting a whole series of hyperbolic ideological fantasies — it will ban cows and airplanes and SUVs, oh my!
