I have a friend who is a musician, who was in a couple of bands that achieved some level of success, and he said that when you reach the top, it is not just you, you need to have a whole team working with you. For instance, Frank Sinatra, he had a whole team helping him, it was not just Frank out there in the world on his own. You have your lawyers, and your agent, and your public relations people, and security people, and other people, helping you. My friend calls the helpers "Buffers," as they are buffers between you and the real world out there. You can focus on making music, or making movies, or public service, or whatever you do, without having to worry about everything else in life. And you need to be able to trust your Buffers.
And there is an old cowboy saying, do not bad mouth the brand that you ride for. If you work for them, and accept their money, then you cannot bad mouth them, if you dislike them then quit, but do not accept their money and bad mouth them.
So, I think that Trump's lawyer, Cohen, should have kept his mouth shut. Cohen would have had more respect if he would have kept his mouth shut. The time to speak was when he was doing the work and accepting Trump's money.
You need to have loyal people in your inner circle, and you need loyal Buffers whom you can trust.
I am not saying that I agree with what Trump has done, and you all know that I am against building a wall, but I am just saying that people need to take responsibility for their own actions instead of blaming others.
Salute,
Tony V.
