A story for Bambi to be proud of:

Better deport the family! Their kid has cystic fibrosis.
Rolled the dice...and lost.
Should've applied for permanent residency or Australian citizenship
before having a baby.
No 'anchor babies' downunder.
•Anthony and Christine Hyde arrived in 2009 on working holiday visas
•In 2015, they had baby Darragh who has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis
•The family cannot get permanent residency because their son would be a burden to taxpayers
Ms Hyde is a teacher at Broadford Primary School and her husband, Anthony, works for SkyBus and volunteers for the SES.
"I've got Australian skills, they would take three months just to be assessed," she said.
"I'm just terrified of getting on the plane and having nothing — no home, no car, no rent, nothing."
Federal Member for McEwen, Rob Mitchell, urged the Department of Home Affairs to recognise the contribution the Hyde family had made to the community.
"Teachers like Christine are among the most valuable members of the Australian community, charged with a huge responsibility," he said.
"I believe Christine's abilities and talents in supporting the Australian children with special needs far outweigh the possible cost of care to Australia for her young son.
"I believe that the contribution Christine makes to our community is significant and the refusal of the visa would further disadvantage some of our most vulnerable children."#####
Given all that, I'd let them stay...give them permanent residency.
'SES' = State Emergency Services. They're the guy and gal volunteers who climb around on people's rooves in storms putting tarps on them to stop them flooding. Rescuing people in flood zones etc. Chopping up fallen trees in the rain etc...while I'm tucked up in bed.
Good family, in a 'pickle', so to speak.
They could take the places of some of the scumbag pedophiles, thugs, and gangsters who are being booted out.
Three bad people depart, 3 good people get to stay...the country is better off.
