Kentucky's move to make tatooing over scars illegal is just one more attempt to control women, no matter the bogus medical excuses they have provided for it.

The headline captures the gist.

The article explains it.

The conservatives won't read it or if they do will excuse it somehow.

It's not how hard you work.

It's how wealthy your familiy is.
Check out the story of Airbnb.
For starters.

Ward, people win the lottery. We know that. It's not news. But if hard work were all it took, there would be many more billionaires than there are. The evidence is in. It has been in for at least 80 years, when the first study I know of illustrated the fact that the best predictor of educational attainment was father's income. Not his or mom's education level. Not the kids' or parents' intelligence. Not where they lived or how many siblings they had. Income.

There have been changes since then, with the lower percentage of nuclear families as one of the factors. But the role of SES in educational attainment is stronger than ever, whether you like it or not.
Ok.
Don’t check out Airbnb.

It doesn't require "checking out," Ward. It's been very much in the public eye.
Obviously your eyes don't work.

That you are.  AIRBNB is not a rags to riches story, a tale of inherited wealth,  or connected in any way to winning a lottery.
It is a multi billion dollar business built by the persistence of a couple of college grads who turned turned unused spaces into
a worldwide chain of rentable rooms in 81,000+ cites.

The Gestapo threw at least 5% of their own population into gas chambers. ICE keeps America safe by sending illegal third worlders back. Not the same!

It IS the same you asshole!

The article does not compare ICE to NAZIs. Read a good history book, duh!

“In an internal email prompted by the seven-day jailing of a Chicago man, an ICE official wrote that it was agency practice to tell citizens that the burden was on them to obtain written proof of their legal status to ensure they would not be wrongly targeted again.”

The cages came before the ovens in Germany. The shitheels have built the cages and are building more. Time to stop the U.S. Nazi party, formerly the G.O.P., before they learn to cook.

Migrant children have heartbeats too?
Of course they do.

Trouble is, ...not every child and adult in Mexico, Central America, Africa, South America, Middle East, North Asia, Sth Asia, SE Asia etc can be moved into USA to live.
It simply can't happen.
There have to be limits.
America takes in the number it can afford.
The rest?...it's a cruel, cruel world out there. People born on garbage dumps, live on garbage dumps their whole lives, fossick for food there, sleep there, maybe raise kids there as well.

The down and out, the homeless [imagine being homeless in the snow and then the dirty, icy slush full of cigarette butts and litter], poor who don't know where their next meal is coming from...in America have heartbeats too.

The United States government took children from legal asylum applicant, transported them, and intentionally did not track where they were taken or to whom they were given, to prevent their being returned to their families.

Which, if true, was totally the wrong thing to do.

We Americans love our Horatio Alger stories and tell ourselves how great America is at "rags to riches," but it is just not true as a general tale.

Check out the link I provided. Anecdata is important when confronted with "nobody ever..." but that is not what I am asserting.

“It's all right to tell a man to lift himself by his own bootstraps, but it is cruel jest to say to a bootless man that he ought to lift himself by his own bootstraps.”

This would be for Bambi's favorite #1 DJ, but for his hatred of truth:

https://qz.com/1069298/the-3-of-scientific-papers-that-deny-climate-change-are-all-flawed/amp/?__twitter_impression=true&fbclid=IwAR3O4uvWZJ2rnwRfiBYI35opp78UW82bpTvrqQLCzRBD4xxTMh9pcqjHO0o

The Climate is always changing.
Ice Ages come and go.
The globe heats up, the globe cools, all by itself.
70+ million lightning strikes in America every year...look at all those tons of carbon.
Cattle, more squillions of tons of carbon.
CO2 is not a pollutant, but the source of all plant life.
Simple really.

There are simple answers to complex problems.

They are wrong, but simple.

In 1982, Exxon projected the growth of the CO2 levels and predicted, as surely, temperature rising - they knew what you do not, which is that the two are linked.

I know many things...one of which is that there are no very fast trains and 'no' 'very good trains' in America because in the 50's the govt and oil companies etc decided that the car and truck would be king, and trains would be phased out in many places...look at all those train carriages stacked up in the desert.
As a result the roads became carparks.
It was the airplane that put the railroad out of the passenger business.

You need to read several good books...and you can start with Albert Speer’s ‘Inside the Third Reich.’
