The argument against raising the minimum wage from no less than the great Socialist.

After taking fire for paying some members of his salaried unionized campaign staff the equivalent of the market rate of $13 an hour, Bernie Sanders had to announce “he will cut staffers’ hours so that they can effectively be paid a $15-an-hour minimum.”

Thanks Bernie.

If you're in Nonantum, in Newton, try the Italian cuisine.

I was a callow 13 when we left, so I had no base hits, though a lovely Armenian girl named Linda Yasighian had me taking a few practice swings at home.

Other names that popped into memory - Brian or Thomas Vallely, Francis Colantonio, Steve Bronk, Vard Zerounian, and great math teacher Mr Siciliano.   Oh, and Ray Lavin.   I didn't know a Needle family, per an earlier query.

If I were Mueller, I would enlarge my security detail for a few days.

I knew Tommy Vallelly, he was a year a head of me in school, and was a very funny popular guy. Google him and "Vietnam".  Interesting story.

Wow, yes.  I've seen several parts of Ken Burns' documentary, not a bit surprised at Vallely's role in making that come together, as well as his other great work.  Brian was about my age, a classmate at FA Day JH, and I remember him as also very funny and likable.

Thats what happens.  Businesses will have lower numbers of staff.

Insurance premiums also rise with higher wage scale

Pay no attention to Seattle.

When the facts disprove your arguments, just carry on as if the facts did not exist.

Demonstrating for the umpteenth time your inability to read, think, or process anything that does not align with your worldview.

Bernie's no socialist.

But he is a hypocrite. No news there.

How fast is the Antarctic ice melting?

So fast that the scientists are considering shooting artificial snow to slow it down.

Better to be safe than sorry.

Yeah, to hell with those laws, if they are inconvenient!

I get the feeling that you wish the Constitution didn't say "innocent until proven guilty."

Those three US citizen kids who were held for 13 hours disagree with you.

And with nothing to be "safe" from, it's false security, not real. Siezing US citizens and deporting them without cause does nothing to make you safer and a ton to make you less safe, including from ICE, yourself.

I wonder if you would feel the same if you were the one being deported without a chance to prove your citizenship.

No, I don't. You would be screaming bloody murder about their having violated your rights! Who are we kidding? It's only okay to you because you don't get it.

Trump’s sister, the disgraced judge, could probably manage a book and possibly Tiffany. In that family, that’s it. It takes Lindsey Graham levels of sycophancy to pretend Don Jr. is writing any kind of book. Jesus man, we’ve seen how badly he writes his emails. As late as 2017, his father was still doing his homework for him. It’s one of the counts of obstruction you’re going to hear about on Wednesday. You really should go read the Mueller report.
