Now he's aged well beyond his years, ..and gone somewhat, well, seemingly not quite so normal in the head...7 years in a dark room with only a computer and a cat.

Death penalty, Bambi?  really?

Quote
U.S. Justice Department officials seek to put Assange on trial for allegedly conspiring to break into a classified government computer at the Pentagon. The charge was announced after Assange was taken into custody. If found guilty, Assange faces a maximum five years in prison

So why did your boy take a bad situation and make it worse? Those photos from 2014 are of unaccompanied kids, not kids taken from their families.

Its actually better.  We have paid more attention to it.

Think about the numbers.

"Faeces on walls or something..."

I think he's confused Assange's life in the Ecuadorian embassy with Geoffrey Rush in "Quills."

2012 - Obama administation

https://phr.org/news/ice-debuts-new-civil-detention-facility-for-immigrants/

“At the end of the day, this is still a jail that was built to house 600 people who don’t need to be in jail,” said Corradini. “Hopefully detention in Karnes will be less traumatic than it is in other facilities, but it’s no substitute for reforming the immigration system and curbing our over-reliance on detention. The bottom line is that the people who will be housed in Karnes really shouldn’t be detained at all.”

"SHOULDNT BE DETAINED AT ALL"

But they were - under OBAMA

Reports want to state that things have changed under Trump.  Just the numbers.

Immigration reform is the only answer.  Reform not meaning just closing the centers.  BETTER centers (I give Obama credit for at least this 2012 effort and what came after).  Centers where families AND children can be housed together.  But that takes BUDGETED $$ - and the WIN in it for Trump keeps the Democrats from approving the measures.

No. It’s worse. Sessions ‘ zero tolerance exacerbated the problem with purposeful cruelty.

Bullshit. GOP had supermajority in all branches for two years and all they did was pass tax cuts and pack the federal judiciary.

They don’t care about solving problems, they just want to consolidate power for when they become a permanent minority.

GOP supporters are SUCKERS.

No, they only had majorities. The last time anybody had a supermajority was part of the first two years of Obama's administration and even then it was 'merely' the 60 votes in the Senate that let them get past a filibuster. The GOP has not had as many as 60 Senators, let alone 2/3rds of the Senate or the House. Both?

No.

A majority in the House is effectively a supermajority. Confederate fifth column McConnell has eroded the senate to where a simple majority is replacing the sixty vote threshold in more and more circumstances, because if they never actually negotiate they won’t be expected to come up with any good ideas which we all know republicans are terminally incapable of doing.

Instead of a supermajority we can more accurately call what the republicans had a stupidmajority or a septicmajority, as you prefer.

It's not a supermajority - a supermajority in the House traditionally means able to overcome a veto. And with the largely lost filibuster not a factor, that will be what it means in the Senate, too - but a filibuster used to be at a higher threshold than it is now, as well.

Veto was never going to come up between big swamp donnie, mullah Mitch, and supine Paul Ryan.
