From the NY Post link above...

Quote
“This is ridiculous. We’re not going to throw out capitalism. We tried that. Other countries tried that. It was called communism and it just didn’t work.”

Both the Democratic socialist, Sanders, and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren jumped in with “whoa whoa whoa.”

Sanders maintained that the communism statement as a “cheap shot.”

“We are living in many ways in a socialist society right now,” Sanders said.

“The problem is as Dr. Martin Luther King reminded us, we have socialism for the very rich, rugged individualism for the poor.”

The NY Post doesn't bother with the rest of Sanders reply, which explained quite well how we already have socialism and why his alternative to that would really be more democratic.  Kid, you are running all your information through so many filters, you seem to be missing the opportunity to really understand the Democratic Socialist perspective.

Sanders did not get "nailed," and his reply to Bloomberg's cheap (and inaccurate - Sanders is not a communist) shot was excellent in giving us a clear idea of how socialism is a blanket term that doesn't tell anyone the specifics of how an economic plan works.

Bernie's plan specifically charts a path towards a healthier, better educated and better paid workforce that has more of a share in the nation's wealth.  Calling it names means nothing.  Tell us why that's a bad idea and why we shouldn't strive to make that happen.  Tell us why millions of Americans should remain without healthcare.  Tell us why a single-payer system wouldn't save hundreds of billions in healthcare cost and move from profit-centered to patient-centered.   Tell us why a million kids should not go to college because it's too expensive.  Tell us why educated young people is something our nation doesn't really need.  Tell us why a company's profits shouldn't be shared with its hardest workers and allow them to save money (one of the basic health indicators of an economy, btw).  Tell us why paid parental leave wouldn't strengthen families, improve parents' mental and physical health, and help child development at a critical early stage of life.

You complain that members here are "led by the nose," and yet you take one slur from Bloomberg ("communist") and run with it.

Why won't you reply to Oilcan's points?  Is not that the purpose of a political forum, and the basis for its rules? Really, it's the basis for all conversation, else people are just talking past each other. By such a studious ignoring of a poster who takes the time to really engage with you on a topic, you drive people away.  Why do you think NeedsAdj left this forum?

You make a false assertion, another poster calls you on it, supplies information that's relevant, and asks you consider their position.  You ignore, or you answer vacuously with some one-liner.  Do you comprehend that this is trolling, and why trolling erodes the quality of internet forums?

Bernie got pantsed.

You admit to not even seeing it.

He had a decent night - and is the frontrunner, so relax.

Bernie took little Fire last night as the other candidates made sure Bloomberg was shown for whom he is, a conservative Republican of the old school (pre personality cult) who wants to buy his way to the Oval Office.

Biden played the fool, piggybacking on Warren's "just tell the women they are released from their nondisclosures"

Of course it doesn't work that way

It was also so obvious from the jump that the moderators were anti Bloomberg.  Which is why they gave him no help with the out of control hen Warren.

https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/national-international/virginias-capital-braces-for-gun-rights-rally/2262306/

Gov. Ralph Northam declared a temporary state of emergency days ahead of the rally, banning all weapons, including guns, from the event on Capitol Square. The expected arrival of thousands of gun-rights activists — along with members of militia groups and white supremacists — raised fears the state could again see the type of violence that exploded in Charlottesville in 2017.

AntiFa couldnt bring in any weapons.  Thus no violence.

Hen? Jesus.

Bullshit. The moderators were tough on everyone. Bloomberg's biggest problem was he had no answer for readily foreseeable questions regarding, for instance, his treatment of women. There is a virtue to wading through 8 months of this shit.

Yeah, antifa. Both of their members are flattered you remembered them.

Remember how an antifa member ran over.a protester and killed her? Oh, wait.

It’s a particularly nefarious state of ignorance that the telegraph is impregnating you with.

Miranda seems writes the truth, all the time.

Legendary former NYPD police commissioner Bill Bratton, who used the Broken Windows theory to drive down crime in New York in the ‘90s, took to Twitter to comment on the Post front page.
“I can’t believe these characters are back bothering hundreds if not thousands of drivers every day” he wrote. “Along with fare evasion and graffiti vandals, they were the symbol of a city and transit system in unchecked decline.”

It’s a sad indictment of the seven-year reign of de Blasio, who has spent much of the last year swanning around the country on his farcical failed presidential bid and now is popping up all over to endorse socialist frontrunner Bernie Sanders, most recently in Nevada before the caucuses this weekend. Anything to escape the city where he is reviled.

Sanders may come to regret the gesture since de Blasio, in his usual klutzy way, arrived in Las Vegas with a sore throat. If you’re a 78-year-old socialist who’s just had a heart attack and you’re fighting a gruelling election campaign, the last thing you want is some goofball from New York coughing and sneezing all over you.

De Blasio’s two terms will be up next year but there is no saviour on the horizon to do a Giuliani.

New Yorkers are like frogs in boiling water as their quality of life declines, but they really only have themselves to blame for taking their safe big city for granted.

In his last election in 2017, de Blasio won with just 726,000 votes in a city of almost nine million people – that’s barely more than 8 per cent. Such was the enthusiasm for Mayor Putz that he elicited the lowest turnout in 100 years.

New Yorkers were too apathetic to vote and look where it’s landed them.

Well there you go.
Looks like it's too late now.
Make yourself useful and help with the fires.

The floods put out the fires.
Rain that was 2 months too late.
