Stacey Abrams dropping knowledge!

https://apnews.com/3fd0ef6313224193a8512b57b78510f1

She doesn't think she belongs in the Senate, in 2020, and I respectfully disagree.
Stacey Abrams is an interesting study in self pity.  Voter turn-out for the Georgia Governor’s race was almost four   million in 2018, the biggest-ever total in a Peach State governor’s race.
As she confessed to the New York Times
I have no empirical evidence that I would have achieved a higher number of votes.
When all of her post-election posturing was over she was left with an inescapable conclusion.
I’ll sit out for a while.

Says the man with no words about/for a president who lies about the number of votes and voters with great regularity.
The subject was Stacy Abrams.

And how many times has the subject been Donald Trump and his lies and obsession with numbers?
That’s an obsession of yours.

And of those, how many times have you said nothing critical of Trump? Every single one of them
Quite the contrary. I always criticized his trade and tariff policies.

And at that point your need to lie, deny, and obfuscate comes out and makes it clear yet again what a waste of recycled electrons talking with you is.

Your choice. Probably a good one.

I think someone else can do that job in Georgia. There are two GA seats up during a presidential year.

She knows the deal.

I don't wish them ill, Larry.

I hope that the split gives them more joy than being married seems to be giving them. And I wish for them and their children (and so for th) lives lived comfortably, outside the eye of the media.

Quite the contrary. I always criticized his trade and tariff policies.

LOL. That’s it, thanks.  Just the tariffs.

This is where REDSTATEWARD demonstrates that all the “controversies” around Obama and Hillary were made up political bullshit that fed a Republican culture of fake grievance.  In Trump you could not have asked for a better man to take a black sharpie to every one of these instances of rank GOP hypocrisy.

King Obama (!)  he dares sign executive orders to address problems when Congress won’t act  Trump opens his Presidency with a record number of executive orders and is seeking ways to bypass Congress on tax cuts and has unilaterally taken money away from needed military projects in order to fund a boondoggle of a “wall” he promised Mexico would pay for.

Obama has stoked racial unrest (!) with his comments on Trayvon Martin, and by having a beer with a cop and the a college professor “Very fine people on both sides,” “Shithole countries,” Mexicans are rapists and drug dealers, tells four Congresswomen of color to “go back” to their countries, unprecedented increase in White Nationalism with acts of violence planned and carried out in Trump’s name, with no direct response from him.

Obama golfs too much and takes vacations in Hawaii (!)  Trump has spent at least 215 days golfing at his own resorts costing US taspayers $109,000,000 so far.

In Benghazi (!) an Obama official misstated known facts for political gain  Trump lies multiple times about what he knew about Hurricane Dorian, and scientists at the NOAA are threatened with firing if they publicly contradict his lies.

Solyndra (!) loans were a political $$$ give-away to an Obama constituency  Trump Administration grants (not loans) $28 Billion (and counting) to Farmers that are hurt by his own tariff policies because they are a political constituency he can’t afford to lose.

Bill Clinton chatted with the AG charged with investigating his wife on an airport tarmac, TarmacGate (!) Rod Rosenstein met multiple times with Trump directly while Trump was being investigated for obstruction of justice and criminal conspiracy, once specifically to beg his boss not to fire him.  Trump ordered the firing of the man conducting that investigation, only being thwarted by underlings who have at least some morals.

The Clinton Foundation (!) is a potential means for quid-pro-quo corruption as people giving money to aids prevention in third world countries could also gain inappropriate access and influence  Trump retains ownership over an network of organizations whose connections to his finances he is keeping secret but which undoubtedly put money directly into his pocket.  Foreign countries spend money at his DC hotel like it’s going out of style (and despite a campaign pledge he doesn’t return that money in a transparent way) as are party loyalists and lobbyists.  Trump raises the membership price at Mar-a-lago and already there is reason to think China attempted to use that to influence our “president,”  The US Military is floating a failing resort of his in Scotland and an associated airport, and the VP and AG are kicking taxpayer dollars directly to Trump by patronizing his properties.

Hilary’s Emails (!) show she was trying to conduct official business without oversight, and were a security concern as they may have contained classified info  Trump admin forces security clearances for people who shouldn’t have them, multiple Trump aides including his daughter and son-in-law use personal email.  Jared uses WhatsApp while sending personal messages to the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia (a man who had a US Resident Journalist killed in cold blood) Trump himself uses unsecured cellphones to send tweets of classified satellite photos, hands over classified intelligence directly to the Russians, and our most valued foreign asset needs to be extracted from Russia because our President is seen as a security concern (though, strangely, we aren’t doing that with spies in any other countries, huh)

And this is just the stuff that relates to Republican drummed up controversies of the past.  Not even getting into other things, like oh, caged children, paying off porn stars, and supporting the sabotage of our democracy.

But REDSTATEWARD’s party got its tax cuts.  That’s all that mattered to them then, all that matters to them now.

Well they also got their pro-life judges on the Supreme Court, too.

How much does McConnell really care about the judges being “pro-life” other than that he can use that as a tool to get judges that will rule against regulations of his donors, against social welfare programs, and for undemocratic voting rules that keep unpopular pols like himself in power?

The cynic in me has always felt that a substantial number of those in Congress (and certainly the one in the oval office) beating the pro-life drum really don't care a bit about the issue.
