Josh, I see Business and Tech got porn-spam blasted again.  I find that IP lists, by country, are helpful.  Sometimes there will be a huge block in say, Belarus or Vietnam, that is pretty much certain to be a source of spam, and you can use asterisks to block the whole range without keeping out regular members or legitimate newbies.

For example, Belarus has a huge block between addresses 37.212.0.0 and 37.215.255.255.  If you ban this:  37.21*.*.* you will ban 262,000 IP addresses at once.  This website:

https://lite.ip2location.com/ip-address-ranges-by-country

has all the IP ranges, by country.  I recently cut spam in half at my website by banning several IP ranges in Ukraine and Russia that comprised about 4 million IP addresses.  Didn't lose a single real member.  Hope this helps (and realize you may know this stuff already).

Diaper business just went boom again.

KY governor

VA Senate

VA House

Impeachment don sinks Bevin. Republicans head for the hills.

Beshear still too close to call decisively.  But the mere fact of a squeaker in red KY is pretty ominous, yes.  Exit polls are showing it's the Independents in the burbs, again, swinging away from the GOP nincompoopery.

The Recipro-saw of Justice is swinging towards Trump's bollards.

The Kentucky GOP is considering becoming a full and open terrorist junta by nullifying the election.

ISIS west in the blue grass state.

BUILD THAT WALL!

VOTE FOR TRUMP!

MUST keep Mexican drug cartels OUT of America!

Mexican drug cartels will hijack your car and slaughter you and your whole family!
Adults, children, babies, they slaughter the lot!

Mexican drug cartels are the scum of the earth!

BUILD THAT WALL TO KEEP THEM OUT!

http://www.msn.com/en-au/news/world/us-mum-bravely-saved-her-baby-as-9-family-members-killed-by-mexican-drug-cartel/ar-AAJSVQb?li=AAgfYrC&OCID=AVRES000
Ban reciprocating saws!

No, they're good for chopping up Mexican drug cartel butchers.

Is anyone ringing talk radio in America saying: "Slow-learners are still going to Mexico"?

The US women and children gunned down horribly in Mexico were in Mexico and most of them have dual citizenship apparently.  So nothing to do with the border, wall, etc.

But a lot to do with the Failed War on Drugs, which has transferred billions to criminals.

The US can't even manage or make the effort to fix/improve Mexico are neighbor with 130M people, or small central American countries.  Yet the US believed it could transform Iraq, Afghanistan etc.

Much of the products we buy from China could easily be made in Mexico and South America, bringing them the same kind of boom that China has experienced.  Wouldn't such a policy benefit the US on many levels, such as having stable neighbors, decreased immigration pressure as a result of a Hispanic America boom, drug issues would be mitigated, etc.  Why funnel $300B a year to a communist competitor instead of allied neighbors.?  US badly needs a geo-strategical trade policy.

For a supposedly sophisticated capitalist country, the US seems pretty stupid about where and to whom its money goes.

Only you could turn such an atrocity into....well, that pile of shit post.  Certainly you could honor the slain children in a better way.  Or just SHUT IT.

Yeah - cartel members would work in factories instead of running drugs - if we just gave them the chance.  Gotcha.

In that particular race - no - not so much.  Democrats have dominated the governorship in Ky.

Trump got 62%b of the vote in Kentucky.  Are you serious about flipping it?

Virginia of course went to the Dems already.

Party on.

Yep and one would think that the 62% and his endorsement of the slavishly-devoted to him incumbent Governor would have been enough to get that Governor re-elected. One would think that.

I don't think it's dishonoring slain children to offer some ideas on how to have fewer slain children.

At the core of Bo's post you may have missed an elegant thread of logic, which applies across much of the Latin America nations with major political/social/environmental problems....if we help those countries build stronger economies and more stable societies, it's a lot cheaper, in the long run, than billions sunk into bollard fencing and refugee management.

Our spammers are using native blocks of IP addresses usually, which is how I ended up blocking a bunch of posters at one point.

Still not true, Lindsey, but a fine try.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/06/politics/mark-esper-trump-war-crime-interventions/index.html

Applause for Mark Esper.

"Esper to urge Trump not to intervene in cases of service members facing war crimes allegations"

Quote
Trump ordered a review of charges against Army Lt. Clint Lorance and Army Green Beret Maj. Matt Golsteyn, and is reportedly considering restoring the rank of Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher, according to a Monday report on "Fox & Friends," the President's favorite morning show. With Veterans Day approaching, Fox News reported that Trump could make an announcement about the three men within a week.

That report from Fox surprised top Pentagon officials and galvanized them to take swift action to head off the President, administration officials said.

Acting swiftly

The Defense Department will send an information package to the White House as soon as it can get the material together, according to three defense officials.

Esper and senior military officials want to get to Trump before he makes a decision and ensure he understands the gravity of what these soldiers have been found guilty of or, in the case of Goldsteyn, the pending charges.

Administration officials say Esper will recommend to the President that he let the Uniform Code of Military Justice prevail.
The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

On Wednesday, Esper said he'd spoken to Trump about the service members facing war crimes allegations on Tuesday.
He said he had "a robust discussion with the President yesterday," and that he offered "the facts, the options, my advice, the recommendations."

Beyond that, Esper said, "we'll see how things play out," adding that he has "full confidence in the military justice system."
An administration official tells CNN the President is still considering whether to move ahead.
