Judge Sentences Roger Stone to House Arrest in Susan Collins’s Home
The Maine senator said that she was unsure whether becoming Stone’s jailer was a good idea, adding that she would “need more time to think about it.”

Nothing wrong with the President of the United States attacking the Judge and Jury in a case that has not had sentencing handed down that is about his friend.

Just business as usual.

Nope, no corruption of justice here, Ward. Just keep laughing.

Would have loved your reaction had Obama done it.

Perverted? No, no….not at all. That’s just one of the reasons that we are proud Republicans! If only the RNC would kick us out of the party….Now that would be a Republican Party we could truly believe in instead of just being barely tolerated.

If the explanation is not dementia, then the contortionist act from Ward should be fun to watch.

Every election cycle, we here at this point talks about a brokered convention and while there might not be a candidate with enough delegates to win on the first ballot, there certainly are no brokers anymore.  My constant theme.

Perhaps not in the old-school sense, but there are superdelegates.  The current definition of brokered is that the first ballot fails and then superdelegates comes into play with the potential for strong bosses to emerge and do some horse trading and so on.   I guess if bosses are weak or nonexistent, then "contested" convention is really more accurate.  And,  taking your point,  that would be more likely.   Delegates will be released,  a second ballot will be taken,  and maybe several,  until something forms from the chaos.   If superdelegates have a decisive effect en masse, it might come from their being political office holders and having some pragmatic sense of who could really win voters in their jurisdictions.  Of course,  they are only 15% of the total delegates,  so they would have to cast some long shadows...

The Return of Hillary Clinton!

Heh.  For the GOP, she never really left.

“We have never before encountered defiance of a remand order, and we hope never to see it again,” Easterbrook wrote. “Members of the Board must count themselves lucky that Baez-Sanchez has not asked us to hold them in contempt, with all the consequences that possibility entails.”

Given Trump’s record of defiance, Barr’s maneuver is predictable—but it is a shocking break with more than 200 years of constitutional and legal precedent.

Just like Posner before him, Easterbrook, while still by all definitions a  "Conservative," is hardly the darling of the right-wing that he once was.  He's too old now, but even if he weren't, his days of being thought of as a possibility for nomination to the Supreme Court by a Republican are long gone.

As she explained, she only told little white lies.

I mean, that barely makes her even qualified to serve in this White House!
