I don't know if NBC will return to the days of Huntley, Brinkley and Russert.

But it seems the DOJ under Barr is determined to return to the behind bars days of John Mitchell

Almost 2,000 former FBI agents and Department of Justice officials wrote an open letter Monday calling for Attorney General William Barr to resign over his handling of the Michael Flynn case, after the Justice Department abruptly dropped criminal charges against President Trump’s former national security advisor last week, despite Flynn’s earlier guilty pleas.

NBC has apologized for an editing error on Sunday’s Meet The Press hosted nowadays by Chuck Todd.  The error came in the way Todd broadcast an edited version of a CBS  interview with Attorney General William Barr.
Todd cued a video tape of Barr responding to a question by CBS reporter Catherine Herridge over what history would say about the Barr decision to drop all charges against Michael Flynn.
“history is written by the winner. So it largely depends on who’s writing the history.”

Todd live:

It’s a correct answer, But he’s the attorney general. He didn’t make the case that he was upholding the rule of law. He was almost admitting that, yeah, this is a political job.

But.
Meet the Press didn’t include Barr’s full answer to The question.  Which was :
But I think a fair history would say that it was a good decision because it upheld the rule of law. It upheld the standards of the Department of Justice, and it undid what was an injustice.

So Barr actually said what Todd accused him of not saying.

Obviously the great journalistic days of NBC News with Huntley, Brinkley, and Russert are never coming back.

You keep Tim Russert’s name out of your mouth.

Sweet Caroline is effective in many COVID-19 cases but should be watched closely for side effects, especially in those with underlying conditions, such as cardiovascular disease (this never disputed).

This Neil Diamond song has been at least partially, if not fully responsible for the recovery of many COVID-19 patients - and not as effective in others.  In those cases, other anti-virals/ forms of care are then turned to

Full stop.

And I was being so nice to you.

You just had to come in with the snark...

Meanwhile, a special prosecutor has been engaged to look into what happened with that attack that almost got buried:

What do you suppose might happen to the folks who tried to bury the story?

“The oddity in all of this is the people Trump despises most, love him the most,” Stern said. “The people who are voting for Trump for the most part... he wouldn’t even let them in a f---ing hotel. He’d be disgusted by them. Go to Mar-a-Lago, see if there’s any people who look like you. I’m talking to you in the audience.”
