Wow.   Let that last bit sink in.   Andrew Jackson.    Good God,  is this some newer, more shrill dogwhistle?   The president who's trying to convince PoC that he's their man picks Andrew Genocide Jackson as fave.

Yeah.
He has a portrait of Jackson in the office.
No President was ever screwed worse than Andrew Jackson in his first run for the office. When he finally won 4 years later he did it as the “ people’s choice “.
Bull shit. For someone who supports the electoral college to make that argument is absurd. Jackson lost in the House under the rules set out in the Constitution.
.LOL Jackson had the most electoral votes but not a majority. Henry Clay( himself a slave owner) threw his votes to Quincey Adams in exchange for the cabinet position of Secretary of State( the Adams’ presidency was a disaster and Jackson spent four years of campaigning against it.) In 1828, despite bitter and slanderous attacks against his wife, Rachael, Jackson  won easily( and lost his wife to  death)and was re-elected again in 1832.
He is a natural presidential hero to Trump
and to anyone who aspires to love of country and the Constitution) except today’s democrat party which was founded by him

Yeah, he also married a ho.

Ward's hagiography of Pres Jackson has to be one of his funnier shticks here.

hagiography is not a synonym for verifiable history.
Not surprised is news to you.

Hagiography is precisely what you did.
Hardly. I cited verifiable facts.
Quote
SELECT verifiable facts.

IOW, a brief hagiography.
Uh. Then you are stupid on the meaning hagiography.
Quote

Yet, as always, you provide NOTHING to support your vacuous opinion
biography of saints or venerated persons

"an account that smacks of hagiography"
LOL

You presented a brief, idealized biography, whitewashed for the gullible viewer.
to gloss over or cover up (something, such as a record of criminal behavior)
Andy Jackson had no criminal behavior
Quote
refused to whitewash the scandal
Andy Jackson committed no scandal, unless you accuse him of creating the democrat party (LOL)
Quote
In the years following the Nuremberg trials, there was an increasingly concerted effort to whitewash the record of the Wehrmacht, the armed forces of the Third Reich.

… seemed to be trying to tell the full story without trying to whitewash the dictator or conceal his atrocities.
— Ronald Hingley
Say what?

You still can't format.

And yeah, you struggle with definitions for words you pretend to understand. You do it again and again.

It's an old act, soon to be followed by a LOL, I'm sure.

You engaged in hagiography, attempting to whitewash Jackson reputation. You failed. And you failed to admit that you failed.

You and Trump, joined at the excuse bone.

None more than Hillary, fukked by BILL, by her pomposity, by Barack - and Bernie -  and by her handlers, not necessarily in that order.

Fucked by Comey, the media, and the Russians. Not necessarily in that order. With a generous helping of misogyny (first, last, and always), as you exhibit repeatedly.

Ignore the real issues

Distract as best he can while the fascist dictator wannabe, loots the treasury and dismantles our democracy.

I don't think Jackson was screwed the first time he ran

They have runoff elections to this day using similar rules.  They have leads changing hands in elections that have first, second, third ballots

That there may have been dirty politicking by Clay and his boys is just the breaks.

AJ got his revenge, surely - to the benefit of the nation.

Yep, the House followed the Constitutional process, including the 12th Amendment.

No it didn’t. It followed the elitism of the the times And that includes the politics.of it.
...
But Trump does.

Once again, making a baseless claim with no evidence.

What part of the Constitutional process did the House not follow? That they also followed the elitism of the time does not preclude its having been THE LAW, Ward.

And yes, Trump loves that scummy president.

“I was horrified,” said d’Estaing. “The only way I can describe Jimmy Carter is that he was a ‘bastard of conscience.’”

"[Do] you know what's going to happen?" asked Napolitano. "[Rolfe] is going to be found not guilty, and that's going to produce a tremendous uproar amongst the people of Atlanta.

"They should have charged some far more reasonable charge rather than one that exposes him to the death penalty," he urged. "It's just not going to work

The deal Tilden struck with Hayes is one of the reasons we are here today. “I’ll give you the presidency if you pull the fed troops out of the South.”

“Deal! Fuck them negroes!”
