RCP's presidential average is back up to 7.7 despite their playing with numbers by rounding 5.5 down to 5 instead of up to 6 and leaving off the USC +12 from their average despite its including more recent data than a bunch of the others.

Nor have they shifted to using the 7 day, instead of 14 day, as they did once when the 7 day was far lower.

Then they round 7.7777777 down to 7.7.

I'm sure it is all coincidence because Kid is sure that they don't lean to the right (despite what independent evaluators say).

I think others made the point about original use versus later morphings.  Larry was using hyperbole in calling government shirking of pandemic control a "final solution."  That term's resonance with Hitler's program to exterminate Jewish people is unfortunate, and that's where the hyperbole comes in.  I don't think he meant it as a straight analogy.  He, and several other members, use punchy language, often to express frustration with the government.  Hardly a bannable offense.   

And, more to your point, you all responded to his choice of words with other words, and felt free to do so.  That's the real heart and soul of a political chat thread, isn't it?  If we don't know how other people feel, because they're afraid to speak unguardedly, then how do we get to know them and know where their worldview is coming from?

Cool. We.can add Loeffler and kiid to the long list of people who do not know what socialism is.

It all hinges on what people take "government control of the means of production" to mean.  There are multiple forms of socialism.  Some are about workers having more participation in their companies, with profit-sharing, and strong collective bargaining.  Those forms have existed in the US for more than a century.  The people who want it to be a bogeyman want to make it sound like non-market socialism, i.e. the end of capitalism and free markets, with state-run five year plans, companies owned by the government, prices for all goods fixed, that kind of thing.  The people who grasp what it means in the U.S. understand that it means free market socialism with some advancement of worker skin in the game and collective bargaining, and regulatory structures that prevent predation and pollution.  That form does not remove profit incentives, and has largely proved its effectiveness in most countries that adopt it.

Woodward has assembled a mountain of evidence that the trump treason cabal, once they understood Covid, decided to use it as a biological weapon against blue states to kill off the old, poor, brown, sane, and other anti-trump segments of the population. It was a deliberate policy to change the demographics through disinformation and denial of medical supplies in the face of the pandemic.

It was a final solution by children too lazy and inept to build trains or ovens. Trump’s Covid policy is driven by the same intent as the German version. Give trump another term and he might reach a result on the same scale.

Would the accused get a trial?

No.  But bans wouldn't be permanent.  Redemption is available for those who amend their ways.

24 hours for a first offense.  48 hours for a second offense. Etc.

Dissent is fine.  Trolling isn't.

Hard to define trolling but you know it when you see it. 

Trolls will learn where the line is by stepping over it and eventually stop stepping over it.

I think the knee jerk response of some here towards others they disagree with is to immediately label then as trolls. Facts and postings of legitimate sources have been labeled as trolling. That's a slippery slope.

In order to avoid any knee-jerk response I suggest issuing warnings ...and only then to overt bad behavior.
A 24 hour ban would be a last resort.... only when several warnings go unheeded.
