Tried the download, Larry, but...

NO, thanks.

Just post the damn relevant data in a safe manner, please, dope.

Piss off.

You wanted everything you got it.

I wanted support for your assertions. You haven't shown that.

Your anger betrays your undoing.

Banksie

Come get your boy.

Knicks-He's not my boy.

You may not like his manner, nor his endless attempts to annoy you and get under your skin, but in this particular matter, IMO he wasn't wrong.

But to your credit you eventually provided the data requested.

Its now up to him to put up or shut-up.

Its not my job.

However it WAS your job to jump in with ‘Jenna’ bullshit?

Bruh...

I thought you telling him to "look around" rather than backing up your assertions with your data was very weak.

Jenna told the world that evidence wasn't important in making her case, you told Elba your data wasn't important  in making yours.

The parallels were hilarious.

So I made a joke and a point.

That you didn't like it, tough shit,

I can't please everyone.

The good thing is I'm not trying to do that.

I poster a six year old bit as a comparison to the atmosphere of today.

I’m supposed to respond to the opening gambit of ‘Utley du Jour’ or I am to be mocked?

You may not be trying to be an insufferable asshole but you’re damn sure good at it.

Knicks you posted an abstract of your academic work and did a piss poor job of supporting it.

You were not willing provide the data and then you got really pissy about it.

So you should expect to take some criticisms for your childish behavior.

Perhaps you shouldn't post your work in public forums if all you want is blind acclaim.

If you're offended by the comp with Jenna's contempt for evidence, that's too bad.

It was valid.

And knicks you're the asshole here.

go have a piece of pie and chill

Banks, if you started with a simple request to see the data and Larry told you to fuck off and do your own research you’d be on note with the Jenna comeback. Larry was already being hard ass about it to Utz, which might have seemed like an opening. I don’t think it was because Utz was doing his over sugared nine year old thing from the jump, embodying swine and earning no pearls. From your side of the conversation Jenna wasn’t a comeback, it was an opening and as such got us where we are.

Once Larry got asked if he’d show us his project in a not terribly insulting way, he did it pretty directly.

Not suffering fools is one thing. I give you props for not suffering my excesses of foolishness among all the others. On the other hand, going fool hunting, as you sometimes do, opens you up to the risk of catching yourself, as you have in this instance.

We can’t all “Be best”, but we can try to be better at least every once in a while.

If you were charged with writing Hitler's biography, fac, you'd center it around what a great artist old Adolph was and how he was misunderstood by his mother, the army, and the Allies. It'd be titled "Springtime for Hitler".

Fac's John Wilkes Booth? Where's the proof he wasn't part of the show? Someone loaded that gun, but it wasn't him. 14 days on the run? No, he'd been shot, too, by the real assailant and he was framed by a group of Republicans who wanted to put Johnson back in and save the South from the Negroes.

Bottom line, your complete revision of reality doesn't fly. Little Larry the Sensitive One was asked to back up his work with the data he allegedly collected on his own. He had to be shamed into doing so. He's still smarting from being asked to live up to the standards he demands of others.

I'm not sure why Little Larry thought he could use the academic "rigor" of whatever matchbook university from which he got his "degree", or how it would fly easily by an educated group of readers. I guess he did know he could get that tripe past someone like yourself.

My questioning Little Larry's "research" was a valid pursuit, from the beginning query.

And Banks got it right, too.

You? Not at all.

But keep up the creative writing. As devoid of reality that it is, it's good for a laugh, at least.

Yeah.

I said birth certificate because you don’t get to demand I respond to a guy I flipped the fuck off. He came back at me and I flipped him off again.

Maybe we should call you Flipper. Instead of responding to legitimate queries, Little Larry the Sensitive One flips the fuck off! What a manly man!

Flipper. YOU FUCKED UP. You posted shit, got called on your shit, and were shamed into trying to back up your shit.

You're no different that TRUMP responding to the press when they ask him to provide details to support the bullshit he tosses around.

And banks is right. The "birth certificate" comment was merely your weak attempt to paint others' commentary with the stain of racism instead of making a real effort to defend yourself from a valid criticism of your original post.

Sorry, but your blowhole is showing, Flipper.

Kid wanted us to consider both sides of the Trump vs. Reality election related court decisions. I invited him to list all of Trump's wins. I'm still waiting to see them... all two of them.

Somebody already mentioned the PA decision in the US Court of Appeals, but here are some snippets:
Quote
"Calling an election unfair does not make it so," Judge Stephanos Bibas, a Trump appointee, wrote for the panel. "Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here."

Highlighting the gulf between the inflammatory charges that Trump and his allies have made outside the courtroom and the flimsy allegations that appear in their court filings, Bibas noted that the Trump campaign never alleged that "any ballot was fraudulent or cast by an illegal voter."

"It never alleges that any defendant treated the Trump campaign or its votes worse than it treated the Biden campaign or its votes," Bibas wrote. "Calling something discrimination does not make it so."

The three-judge panel also called the Trump campaign's efforts to negate Pennsylvania's certification of votes "unprecedented," adding that the campaign's claims have "no merit."

"Tossing out millions of mail-in ballots would be drastic and unprecedented, disenfranchising a huge swath of the electorate and upsetting all down-ballot races too," the opinion said.

But here is the bizarre thing...

Following the decision, the sainted Jenna Ellis made this remark:
Quote
“The activist judicial machinery in Pennsylvania continues to cover up the allegations of massive fraud. We are very thankful to have had the opportunity to present proof and the facts to the PA state legislature.”

This was a panel of 3 Republican-appointed US 3rd District Court of Appeals judges. The 21 page decision was written by a Trump appointee. "Activist judicial machinery?"

Then there's "the allegations of massive fraud," that Jenna references.

Judge Bibas:
Quote
ts alchemy cannot transmute lead into gold,” Bibas writes. “The Campaign never alleges that any ballot was fraudulent or cast by an illegal voter. It never alleges that any defendant treated the Trump campaign or its votes worse than it treated the Biden campaign or its votes. Calling something discrimination does not make it so.”

If you NEVER claim any votes were fraudulent in court, then how is the court continuing to "COVER UP THE ALLEGATIONS OF MASSIVE FRAUD?"

Simply put, it didn't happen and the Trumpist lies and deceit persist, encouraged by the likes of Kid.

These petty squabbles are unappealing and unending.

To change the subject:

Is Trump the greatest mass murderer in US history?
Discuss.

Don't think he can catch up to James Buchanan.  Depending on which estimate you go with,  that's 600,000, up to 1.5 million casualties.   Buchanan's inept response to the South is often viewed as the cause of the Civil War.   Of course,  one could argue that Lincoln still had potential options that would have averted bloodshed.

These Americans are all slackers,  of course,  compared to Pot,  Mao,  Stalin,  or Hitler.   The Great Leap Forward,  of Mao,  led to up to 45 million deaths.

Some interesting arguments about how socialism is defined are part of this article on the Mao mass murder.   Looks at how western intellectuals have paid more attention to the Holocaust and Stalin's purges than to the Great Leap Forward, and the reasons.

fac I am agreeably going to disagree with you. Briefly and then hopefully we can agree to disagree and be done with it and move on to other areas to agree or disagree about.

Banks, if you started with a simple request to see the data and Larry told you to fuck off and do your own research you’d be on note with the Jenna comeback.

Fac was the reporter asking Jenna about her evidence required to first have done an investigation into election fraud? My guess is that you'd say "no". Like  the reporter, I  was trying to get some additional information. Utley had asked for it and was told to fuck off. I'm not going to repeat the sequence, but it struck me that knicks was unreasonably defensive about what he had posted and I found it funny and curious he wouldn't defend his scholarship. And I posted I found the linkage knicks created between the abstract and his conclusion to be weak at best. And eventually my take was proven by the data that knicks posted. Knicks overstated the corereations he found in his master's study, while discussing it here. He purposely mislead Elba.

The Jenna line was meant as a pointed joke and comment, that knicks got pissed about.

Without going back and counting days or posts, IIRC knicks wasn't so much asked but rather it took a few Jennas jabs to get knicks sufficiently motivated to post his study.

Not suffering fools is one thing. I give you props for not suffering my excesses of foolishness among all the others. On the other hand, going fool hunting, as you sometimes do, opens you up to the risk of catching yourself, as you have in this instance.

I don't think knicks is a fool, but at times he's less than transparent and less than honest, and tries to get a little too cute with the truth and is purposely misleading. I don't like getting bullshitted.

And i don't go fool hunting, but from time to time, and if I'm bored I will take a shot or two. With kid and Red running free its always fool-season in this forum and there is no limit. And yes, at times I can get caught up in the bullshit, and end-up in the foolishness.

We can’t all “Be best”, but we can try to be better at least every once in a while.

Fac- That's all I'm shotting for here, being better. In this case, I thought a point supported by data would make for better.

For my efforts, knicks thought rather than transparency, it wise to play the race card (again) and call me a liar. He knowingly made false comments to cover up his short-comiings.

YMMV

happy motoring

Mass murderers of history seem to sort into two main groups -  direct killing and letting starvation do the job.   The starvers leave themselves an out,  where they can pretend "those dead people killed themselves because they didn't cooperate with the program. "   Trump would be closer to the starver camp,  since it was based on a passive inaction of letting shit happen.

My simple prediction algorithm on Georgia senate races:  who's more likely to go polls now,  after a long exhausting national race?

A.   Ideological zealots who cultishly follow a party leader

B.   Ordinary people who care about honest government but are tired of trying to keep up with the bitter partisanship

I think,  sadly, this provides the answer.
