Mitch wouldn't even give Garland a hearing.

Very seldom does this occur for a Cabinet post
It had never happened for a SCOTUS nominee before Garland. McConnell gives zero fucks about anything except power.
Harry Reid set the stage.  Mitch warned him and now the dems have no one to blame but themselves.
Horse shit. Reid responded to McConnell's.decision to use the power of the minority to block all DC appointments. It has been nothing but McConnell powerplays since 1/21/09.
Uh huh, sure. Another revision version.
But your first two words are superb as descriptors of democrat  strategies nowadays.

Oh, and one other item you seem to be pretty naive about.  When the stock market goes up it lifts all ships because when investors make more money they pay more taxes.

Sure, such as billionaire Donald Trump kicking in $150 over the past decade.
You have seen his tax returns?
[
Quote
"There’s no reason why 91 Fortune 500 companies should be paying zero in taxes.”
- Joe Biden

Good to hear him say so, as companies rack up billion dollar profits and pay zero in taxes.  Should be a 15% minimum tax on profits.
Then Joe should go for it.  Betcha he won’t because he would never get it passed.
Quote
And btw, tax cut always always always result in less tax revenue.
That's of course what they are intended to do.
No, tax cuts stimulate the economy as we just witnessed during the Trump Presidency.

This reminded me.

Russ Feingold as acting OMB director until Neera Tanden is confirmed. Russ and Joe go way back.

He could also head up a rural populism task force. That should speed the GOP’s overdue decline.

Democrats have a tendency to shoot themselves in the foot, and explains in part, the party's stance of more rigorous gun controls. Too many innocents get shot.

In any case Repubs will repackage "defunding police" and try to scare the populace with heated rhetoric of of the excesses of the far-left, socialism, the greening of America and AOC and her of gang dusky-hued compatriots seducing old white guys.

Repub strategy is basically, lieing, voter suppression, and destroying democracy.

Well, it appears that “ Cultural” conversation Barton favors is off to a rocky start.
Progressive democrats quickly jumped to attack Barack Obama after he argued that political candidates alienate voters when they use "snappy" slogans such as "defund the police."

You lost a big audience the minute you say it, which makes it a lot less likely that you're actually going to get the changes you want done," Obama said. "The key is deciding, do you want to actually get something done, or do you want to feel good among the people you already agree with?"

Well, then the shit hit the “squad” fan.

We lose people in the hands of police," Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., shot back. "It’s not a slogan but a policy demand. And centering the demand for equitable investments and budgets for communities across the country gets us progress and safety."

"Rosa Parks was vilified & attacked for her civil disobedience. She was targeted. It's hard seeing the same people who uplift her courage, attack the movement for Black lives that want us to prioritize health, funding of schools & ending poverty, rather than racist police systems," Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., tweeted.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., said she's "out of patience" with criticism of the language that activists used.

Poor Obama.
Poor Joe Biden.

Yes, Mr. President, you’re right but what?

How long are we supposed to say, “Thank you, Sir! May I have another?”

Democrat Joe Manchin has strong words for the “ Cultural Conversation “ he wants to have with the radical Black Lives Matter segment.

It’s not who we are. We’re not going to defund the police, there’s not one senator, Democrat senator, that supports defunding the police,” he said.

If anything we think there should be more investments made to better equip, better train, and continue the education so they have the social changes and know them better as they have to deal with them,” Manchin added. “There is so much more that has to be done. Defunding is not an option on the table. It might be in certain people’s district but no senator, no Democrat or Republican I’ve ever heard would defund the police.”

Because Mitch is a stickler for process.

LMAO

Well... the process cannot be changed.  Confirmation hearings have specific procedures/rules.

Complain about other shit.

Not ruled. Traditions and norms.

Mitch broke all of them.

Hell, I've said that all along.
I don't even want to get a one or two week flu of the regular kind.
Flu sucks and beats the hell out of you.
Stay healthy and safe.

A lot of misery Trump imparted upon Americans.

He wasn’t alone.

How overly simplistic.  And still wrong.

Of course the Trump economy was almost exactly a continuation of the Obama economy.  Charts and graphs amply demonstrate that.

Trump's signature economic policy was huge tax cuts for the wealthy and companies.  Intended to juice the economy, it had very little effect except to raise stock prices, more wealth for the wealthy, partly through stock buybacks.  The intended investment surge simply never materialized.  $1T squandered that could have been used for pandemic relief (or infrastructure if the Virus never blew in)

But Geez, why am I arguing with Red's LOL and uninformed vagueness??

Force of habit?

Red is loud and he makes no sense but he remains certain.

Red is loud and he makes no sense but he remains a cretin.

You ok
Except for the cough, the narcolepsy and the inability to walk across the room without needing 10 minutes of recovery time, A-OK!

I’m glad you’re here to tell the tale!!

Y’all just mad because in-spite of the road blocks black voters turned the tide in the swing states.

Manchin is a mealy mouthed panderer:

As your Senator, I’ll protect your Second Amendment rights,” Manchin says. “That’s why the NRA endorsed me.” October 2010

Radical?

How radical is it to demand your own tax dollars not be used to fund your oppression?
