It's been long well-known that China farked up the first month or tow of the virus.
The US has farked up 11 months and counting.  And all media in China is state-owned and controlled.  Social media heavily regulated.  No news there.

But by any measure, since Feb 1, China's response and actions related to CV-19 have been roughly 486x better than the US managed.

Really, it's difficult to compare eliminating the virus from your country within a couple of months with having a long catastrophe slowly unfolding over 11 months in which likely half a million or more Americans will die, some multiple of that got badly ill, 1/4 of the worlds infections, 20% of the worldwide deaths.

And the response on the Right is to demonize China and make excuses for Trump.
Up is down; stupid is smart.  Be as hugely dishonest as you need to be to keep your myths and mistaken worldview in tact.

If someone has a Billion Dollars, I think there's a number of problems and system failures.  First off, likely their company was never properly taxed.  You know, billion dollar profits and paying zero in tax, a trick many Fortune 500 companies pull.  Second they're not paying a high enough rate of personal income tax, and a wealth tax could adjust that without changing their lifestyle one bit.  Third, billionaires have too much money and power to be able to buy politicians, and distort our political system.  Fourth, almost certainly their workers were underpaid, as corporate profits went to the executives.  So you get things like Bezos inching toward trillionaire status, while Amazon warehouse workers struggle on low-pay and have to work through the dangers of the virus.  Or Walmart employees needing food stamp assistance just to feed their families.  Billion dollar owners with workers supplementing their pay with gov't assistance to the poor.

Americans have worshiped wealth for far too long.  We need more of a we're all in it together approach.  Under-taxation, especially of companies, has meant there is too little money to help average people.  America is super-rich and there's no excuse for homelessness, a lack of social services and drug treatment, 40M without health insurance, large pockets of poverty, poor schools, crumbling infrastructure, etc.
Time for the USofA to get its priorities together.

Priority #1 protect the wealth of the top 1%
Priority #2 preserve the white anglo power structure


Everything else is called "socialism".  Including the maintenance of a working class to support the above.
So not only do the workers create wealth through their labor they are made to feel like they're relying on the benevolence of others.

Of those 21M fewer CH cellphone users, I was 5.

In 2019, when I paid for fast internet service a year at a time, China Telecom was running a promotion that gave me 5 free SIM cards with data minutes on them.
But China, has a two-tier internet service, wherein domestic internet is very fast and international internet is throttled and monitored.  So the gov't intentionally throttles my internet.  So after years of upgrades but no improvement in speed, in January 2020 I downgraded my internet speed and got a refund.  Because int'l internet usage is always slow in China.  So China Telecom deactivated the 5 free SIM cards they had given me.

Sure that's anecdotal.  But Red would have me a dead and disappeared CV victim 5 times over.  If I alone incidentally accounted for 5 fewer cellphone customers, it's hard to believe those numbers are meaningful.  I found it extremely odd that they gave me 5 SIM cards just for paying my internet bill in advance.  But when I mentioned it to Chinese friends, they were all familiar with this practice, so doling out lots of extra SIM cards seems commonplace these days.  Not sure why people would cancel these SIMs.  I canceled mine completely by accident, by bailing on my premium package.

To be fair,  I think Red has found where all the vanished Chinese covid victims went.   They're going through that cremation center down the block from Four Seasons Landscaping and the Fantasy Island Adult Bookstore.   The landscaping store is selling the resulting ash as "soil amendments."  Red was "just browsing" there at the bookstore  and spotted the suspicious trucks going in.
