Actually I've "defended" nobody. I asked you a question. If your answer is that those nobly protesting the Lee statute removal just unfortunately got mixed up with the White Supremacists, then you are absurdly naive. Which is no surprise since you actually believe in this President.

"We had a great talk yesterday," Trump said of his meeting with Scott. "I think especially in light of the advent of Antifa, if you look at what's going on there. You have some pretty bad dudes on the other side also, and essentially that's what I said. Now, because of what's happened since then with Antifa — you look at really what's happened since Charlottesville, a lot of people are saying and people have actually written, 'Gee, Trump might have a point.' I said, 'You've got some very bad people on the other side also,' which is true."

Whenever Trump starts talking about "a lot of people" I immediately know he is making it up. It is invariable.

I am confident that the number of people who participated in the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville who were not white supremacist racist turds is so close to zero as to be zero. If you are marching in a crowd chanting anti-Semitic chants and think of yourself as a very fine person you are wrong.

If you saw the video - small percentage were chanting
And the rest were fine people! How the fuck can you defend anybody that would march with white supremacists, chanting or not? Ah, don't bother answering.
I am sure he can Klansplain it.

The chanters were not interlopers. They were the people who put the rally together and they were clear about who they were and what they wanted. No one got involved by accident.

Many groups were represented.  Not sure what an interloper is.

I dont agree or disagree with your statement.  No way of knowing.

Were ther chants this year when the same organizer showed in DC?

Why don't you call this "same organizer" by his name?  And tell us a little about him. He must be "fine folks" and last year's "rally" just got away from him.  He meant well.

heh

Yeah, you must mean the interlopers - heh

Its lawful assembly - and as you point out once the word is out........

This is what Trump was standing behind, not the white supremacy of it.

I do think the August rally in Charlottesville goes over much much better if there was no earlier event in the town

On the afternoon of August 13, Unite the Right organizer Jason Kessler attempted to hold a press conference in front of Charlottesville City Hall, but was forced to abandon the conference after being attacked by an angry crowd. One man reportedly either punched or attempted to punch Kessler, and a woman tackled Kessler as he was trying to leave the scene. Police came to Kessler's aid and escorted him from the area.[218] Hundreds of people shouted "shame" at Kessler and "say her name" (referring to Heather Heyer, the woman killed the day before).[219] Before ending the short news conference Kessler stated: "I disavow any political violence and what happened yesterday was tragic." He later posted videos online in which he blamed the city for the violence and death.[220] One man was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery for allegedly spitting on Kessler during the news conference.[219]

Before ending the short news conference Kessler stated: "I disavow any political violence and what happened yesterday was tragic."

Why don't you quote what Kessler tweeted (it was in a tweet, so you could probably read that much) the next day about Heather Heyer.  For the record and since you have no interest in actually discussing this scumbag, he actually tried to repudiate that subsequent tweet.

I wanted to give you a chance to tell an entire story, but I guess you bumped against the 280-character limit.   Maybe "Katica" had something to say about it. Oh well, those interested can do the research.

Quote
A tweet from the account of the far-right activist who organized the Charlottesville, Va., "Unite the Right" rally insulted the protester who was killed at the event, saying late Friday night that her death was "payback time."

"Heather Heyer was a fat, disgusting Communist," stated the tweet on an account belonging to Jason Kessler. "Communists have killed 94 million. Looks like it was payback time."

The rally was planned mostly to protest the removal of the Lee statue

If you think fine people cant be on the side of that, I cant help you.

No, they can’t. They’ve had their participation trophies long enough. You don’t honor traitors and those monuments started going up in earnest after Plessy v. Ferguson and accelerated after the Red Summer of 1919.

Fuck those statues in the public square and fuck those who feel they must preserve symbols of white supremacy as the time when America was great.

KKK and neo Nazis run around waving the flags of armies who got their asses kick by the US of Fucking A!

You support those assholes in any way, shape or form and you can’t claim to be a patriot.
