If Merrick Garland wasn't a such class act he'd tell you to take your hypocritical purple "assault on deomcracy" prose and shove it. Fortunately not everyone is as classy as he is.
Deomcracy ?
Calm down and try not let your fingers get ahead of your brain.

The fact is the democrats planned a deliberate Hail Mary trap and then insisted on ignoring “ “innocent until proven” guilty with the willful compliance of the leftist media. Susan Collins tore that tactic to shreds today. I bet you never watched it.

Sorry I haven't met any adults who have evidence that Dianne Feinstein scarred Dr. Ford forever.
Maybe you should try engaging some.

You didn't give a damn about "democracy" when Garland was nominated. Only power. Leftist media!! Tell you what, Red. Take your fucking "win." You're as dumb and short-sighted as Harry Reid. One day, soon, your party will be back to being the minority party and you can happily go back to calling Congress "socialist cocksuckers."

As I listened to Susan Collins deliver her long, very polished and very practiced speech, after publicly "agonizing" over the decision, I couldn't tell what she was undecided about or what made this tough for fer. There was a whole lot of unqualified love for Brett.

And that she could knock out that speech with all its references to court cases, while at the same time pouring over the details of FBI background check, is admirable.

I hope she sold her soul for something more tangible than a Mitch McConnell promise.

That prick will say and do anything to get what he wants.

He's a helluva politician, but a terrible person.

I knew petard was a bomb.  I fear my mistaken recall of "upon" is that of a child of the Space age,  imaging the man sitting upon the bomb,  lofted upwards by its detonation as if upon a rocket.   I knew "peter" (peh-tay) was the verb for fart in modern French but hadn't made the connection to an Avonian double entendre.  And am grateful for another mental image that evokes rocketry.   The humble fart,  both repulsive and propulsive.
FWIW, one of my screen names on the old NYT site was Buck Verdeth, a reference to the old English word for.fart, as well as The Cuckoo Song. Which, along with the bull erection reference, tended to get rewritten in the later versions of the poem.

Funny how you never misspell insults.
I didn’t “ win” anything. The country, though, was spared a loss of Justice if unverified charges could be leveled at a highly qualified jurist to deny him a position on SCOTUS.
Think about it. Kavanaugh stood accused of sexual assault that nobody but his accuser can describe  and even she cannot provide details to engage an investigation. She asked for secrecy but Feinstein leaked her story to further her futile attempt to prevent a Conservative from being appointed to the court.
Kudos to Lindsay Graham and Susan Collins for exposing this insult to our democracy.

If you listened to Susan Collins today, you would have heard her say, that Feinstein had nothing to do with the leak.

If you had been informed you would have been aware that the paper that ran the story made it known that neither Feinstein nor her staff leaked the letter.

But you would rather repeat a lie.

So go fuck yourself while you celebrate the debasement of our democracy.

And we will never agree on this, but it bares repeating, Kavanaugh perjured himself in this process, and in previous Senate testimony.

He's a fucking liar and a paranoid partisan cocksucker who will be tainted forever as a partisan cocksucker.

Red's a patriot. Above all else.

Red is a lying malodorous tapeworm and a shitpickle.

I’d be equally ok with Kavanaugh getting rejected by the senate or dying in an auto accident. Either way it saves us the trouble of impeaching him in a year’s time for his host of felonious perjuries.

Though if he’s rejected he’ll still have to be impeached from the appellate court.

I’m delighted that due process still is a fundamental part of our democracy.
The GOP bent over backward to give Dr. Ford her chance to make case.
The fact it failed was because  she indentified  no one who could corroborate her story.

I'm kind of surprised that our resident constitutional scholar has no idea what "due process" means, but I'll just chalk that up to his politics.

Why don't you post the list of those Supreme Court cases (hell I'll even take a lower court case) that have held that a no vote for a individual nominated for a seat on a federal bench constitutes a deprivation of "due process."
