Anyone looking for a thankless job working among total idiots and bastards?

They are getting desperate at the White House. Qualifications are a pulse, no spine, and no memory or pride.

The great Senator Hatch when asked about Individual-1’s delayed felony charge:

“I don’t care...you know, you can make anything a crime under the current laws.”

Spoken like a great law-and-order Senator.

Senator Hatch on a President who had a (D) next to his name:

This great nation can tolerate a President who makes mistakes. But it cannot tolerate one who makes a mistake and then breaks the law to cover it up.

So count Hatch as another Republican who will change his definition of what a great nation is and does while Trump makes us distinctly not a great nation.

Wonder what this will turn up...

Nothing good for Republicans.

Nothing good for Republicans.

I've said before that there could very well be more to GOP leadership's complete and total subservience to Trump's lies regarding Russia, and cover-up of election interference, beyond mere political expediency.

Its still a stretch, but today a little less so:

It would appear that, even as Erickson was helping Butina forge those connections, he may have been aware of the political implications.

“Unrelated to specific presidential campaigns,” Erickson wrote in an October 2016 email to an acquaintance that was later obtained by the FBI, “I’ve been involved in securing a VERY private line of communication between the Kremlin and key [unnamed political party] leaders through, of all conduits, the [unnamed gun-rights organization].”

And during an FBI raid of Erickson’s South Dakota home, investigators discovered a handwritten note suggesting Erickson may have been aware of a possible job offer from Russian intelligence services: “How to respond to FSB offer of employment?” Erickson scratched, an apparent reference to the Russian equivalent of the CIA.

EDIT:  Well, that's weird.  The "smocking gun" jpeg I posted earlier seems to have vanished from the Net.  Which is why there's a blank space above this paragraph now.

Edit 2:  And now it's back.   Huh.

To quote Senator Blutarski...

HOLY SHITH!

“We are at an inflection point in which the foundational principles of our democracy and our national security interests are at stake, and the rule of law and the ability of our institutions to function freely and independently must be upheld...”

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/44-former-senators-urge-senate-to-defend-democracy-amid-constitutional-crisis

Vague BS.  Yes, our Democracy is at stake, but they can't bring themselves to say who it is that is actually threatening it?  It isn't both parties.  Just one.

And no doubt the party responsible will take this as a defense of their current position.  You don't think GOPers urging Trump get a free pass from the House will couch it as "ensuring that partisanship or self-interest not replace national interest?"

Maria, I've just met a spy named Maria.
And suddenly I find a great way to unwind
is blasting away with an AR-15
in a South Dakota duck blind!

Maria, I want to be your handler, Maria.
We'll hang out with the NRA
and you'll prove that I'm not gay
And we will drink vodka martinis all day!

Maria, I just fired my Glock with Maria.
And soon we can meet the POTUS
And deliver that check that Vlad wrote us
And then drive around in a Lotus!

Maria...you look cute in handcuffs, Maria!

Yes, the democrats now led by a Socialist Bernie Sanders and the Progressive Wing who proposed health care-education- jobs-guaranteed pay-old-age care FOR ALL and just any other catchall that can be paid though “ social insurance” and, therefore, labeled FREE!

Fortunately the Constitution stands in their way for now so they would have to change the Constitution. But the Soviet Union wrote such a document.
You remember the Soviet Union don’t you?

REDSTATEWARD had only two choices to choose from, and he still got the answer wrong.

No, REDSTATEWARD.  Healthcare for all is not a threat to our Democracy.  And you might want to educate yourself on the difference between Socialism, which is an economic theory and political ideology, and Democracy, which is a system of government.  Many happily Democratic countries elect Socialist governments.

The head of Red's party is going to be impeached, so he's back to calling Democrats communists.  Don't ever change, Red.  The best defense is always a good offense.

Good? Red's offense is quarterbacked by Mark Sanchez and Red is a human butt fumble.

The Constitution does not enshrine any economic system. There is nothing unconstitutional about universal healthcare. But with a full shaker of salt on Trump's tail, the right is running scared, and Red is running scarder.

Quote
Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she’s untrustable. But no one would have known any of that had happened, had we not fought.”[/quoge]

Kevin McCarthy, then.

Quote
It looks like what [Democrats will] focus on is just more investigations. I think American is too great of a nation to have such a small agenda, I think there are other problems out there that we really should be focused upon. And my belief is, let’s see where we can work together — let’s move America forward.”

“We have investigated this for a long period of time, Both sides have come up with nothing in the process. I think we should put the American people first."

Kevin McCarthy, now.

Republicans remain offensive did that Democrats paid attention to what the did when they had power.
