HR-1 --> These reforms would strengthen our democracy.
Power grab.
Giving more voting flexibility to potential voters is a power grab?
By who?
Perhaps you missed what the Senate Majority Leader (of your favorite party) said about HR-1.

And I was referring to what Mitch McConnell said about HR-1.

I don't think it's a power grab.   Perhaps you should pay attention to what the leader of your favorite party said.

But you got a tax cut.

Will do.  I'll make sure they'll be of "see Dick run" simplicity so you don't have any problems following them.

The meaning was obvious to those keeping up with current events.  But regardless of your initial misreading, glad to hear you disagree with Mitch McConnell on this.

Maybe you have some thoughts on why Mitch McConnell would see an attempt to increase voter turn-out as a power grab by Democrats?

My point is there is nothing wrong with making voter registration easier as long as we have ample and reliable ways to match the voter to registrations. As far as restoring the  Voting Rights that is a Constitutional problem. States can’t be held to 1950’s regulations that don’t match 2019 demographics.

But you got a tax cut.

Your system of govt, [the 3 branches of it], was mentioned in street/park/beach interview questions being put to [mostly]young Americans by Jay leno and another guy about world geography, USA geography, USA flag, maths, trick questions, etc.
Including the Constitution.
Some got the 3 branches of govt correct, most didn't know anything about it.
Most got  "free speech" in First Amendment correct, but not any of the other parts.

I liked the dear sweet young lady who, when asked about the First Amendment to the Constitution;
She thought for a while then answered; "Do not cheat on your wife".

Asked what the Second Amendment was;
She thought for a while then answered; "Love thy neighbour".

He has nothing against voting in general, just the Voting Rights Act. It’s clear. Dumb, but clear.

None of this was your point.  Your point was that "Giving more voting flexibility to potential voters" could not be described as a power grab.

What I asked, and which you have not yet answered, is how it is that Mitch McConnell could see it as one.

Then you should ask Mitch McConnell.
I gave you my answer that it is not a power grab. How could it be?
