On top of that he has no deep pockets in his organization and is from Ohio, the reddest of states with a statewide GOP political organization that swept all statewide races in 2018.

A lot of nonsense in the above post but this line stands out as particularly clueless.
Ohio is not the reddest of the battleground states?  The democrat party is not  impotent there? Sherrod Brown is a prolific fund raiser?   LOL
Quote
The fact that Brown easily won a senate seat in a red leaning  state that is critical to the electoral college math decisively supports Whiskeypriest's post.
Sherrod Brown is a safe senate seat for the dems. He has no interest in pursuing a primary fight he cannot win or afford. As a Veep nominee he would add nothing to the ticket and his possible loss would be a major blow to the dems’ Senate hopes. Especially if the eventual nominee is also a sitting Senator. .
Yeah, because of the strong possibility that the replacement Senator for Harris or Gillibrand or Klobuchar or.Booker is so likely to be a Republican!
No it would be a democrat with no seniority.
Quote
To the extent the VP matters in a Presidential election in a positive way, Brown would be a good, effective choice.
It would be stupid. But then we are talking democrats. So

Ohio has always been bluer in the Presidential election than in the state offices. Supposedly, Clinton opted against Brown because she thought he was key to gaining a Democratic Senate majority. I always liked Clinton and thought she would be a very effective President, but her electoral instincts.were not the most sharply honed tool in her kit.

Her electoral instincts should have put her in the White House considering all the hurdles she jumped only to get fucked over on Election Day.

When all the shit shakes out we’ll find how much influence Rudy Giuliani and the old heads at NYC FBI FO had in Comey’s ridiculous pronouncements right before the election. Factor in the Wikileaks docu dump within hours of the Access Hollywood tape, and now we learned FOX killed the story on Trump’s paying off women during the campaign.

Shit. All that and she loses by 77K over three states...
LOL. 99 electoral votes won by Obama she fucked away. But live in your own cocoon.

Naw, bud. I live in the real world and hoping my fellow citizens will realize our nation is under attack while you’re gleefully watching an autocratic kleptocracy systematically dismantle our government.

But you got a tax cut, right?

"Nothing has formalized the partnership between Fox and Trump more than the appointment, in July, 2018, of Bill Shine, the former co-president of Fox News, as director of communications and deputy chief of staff at the White House. Kristol says of Shine, “When I first met him, he was producing Hannity’s show at Fox, and the two were incredibly close.” Both come from white working-class families on Long Island, and they are so close to each other’s children that they are referred to as “Uncle Bill” and “Uncle Sean.” Another former colleague says, “They spend their vacations together.” A third recalls, “I was rarely in Shine’s office when Sean didn’t call. And I was in Shine’s office a lot. They talked all the time—many times a day.”

Shine led Fox News’ programming division for a dozen years, overseeing the morning and evening opinion shows, which collectively get the biggest ratings and define the network’s conservative brand. Straight news was not within his purview. In July, 2016, Roger Ailes, the co-founder and C.E.O. of Fox, was fired in the face of numerous allegations of chronic sexual harassment, and Shine became co-president. But within a year he, too, had been forced out, amid a second wave of sexual-harassment allegations, some of them against Fox’s biggest star at the time, Bill O’Reilly. Shine wasn’t personally accused of sexual harassment, but several lawsuits named him as complicit in a workplace culture of coverups, payoffs, and victim intimidation."

The Making of the Fox News White House: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2019/03/11/the-making-of-the-fox-news-white-house

Newspapers were greatly used by the Nazi Party to spread the party line. Newspapers were commonly purchased in an era that pre-dated television and along with the cinema and radiowas the primary mode of spreading information – information that the Nazi Party wanted to control. Hitlercame to power on January 30th 1933 and almost immediately set out plans that would give the Nazis total power over all newspapers. Once Chancellor, Hitler was in a position to implement from a propaganda viewpoint what he had written about in ‘Mein Kampf’:

“The receptivity of the great masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan.” (MAGA, anyone?)

Control of newspapers was put into the hands of Joseph Goebbels, the head of the Ministry of Popular Enlightenment and Propaganda. Goebbels set up a department within the ministry that dealt solely with newspapers. The newspapers had to spread the same message as everything else – Gleischaltung – the coordination of the whole of Nazi German society so that it acted and thought the same.

Mark Levin?  The conservative talk radio guy who keeps calling Pelosi a fascist?   It's Inigo Montoya's famous rejoinder in The Princess Bride that best applies, IMO:

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

"What we need to do is not be out there Twittering," Dingell told reporters Wednesday. "We need to talk to each other."

It is called math. I realize.it is beyond you, but start with this: she did not need to match Obama's 2012 total. 270 is all she needed. 77,000 votes is what separated her from that. Math. It does a mind good.

Exactly. White collar.

Meanwhile it is rather disheartening to see Americans gloating over the sitting president’s campaign manager ONLY being sentenced to four years in prison.
