Trump told the CBP commissioner that he'd pardon him if the Commissioner were convicted for breaking the law about this stuff.

Conspiracy to commit a crime?

'Treason' is the word I couldn't think of.

Republican presidential hopeful wants the person responsible for the WikiLeaks cables to face capital punishment for treason.

Kathleen McFarland, who served in the Pentagon under the Nixon, Ford and Reagan administrations, concurred with Huckabee. "It's time to up the charges," said McFarland, now a Fox News national security analyst. "Let's charge him and try him for treason. If he is found guilty, he should be executed."[/I]

Treason is narrowly defined in the Constitution.

You might look it up.

US embassy cables culprit should be executed, says Mike Huckabee

I've looked it up now.
Cyber war could be classed as war.

If someone died as a result of the leaking of the cables...US could charge him with murder, and pack him off to the death chamber.

Britain must not extradite him.

Not without a declaration of war.

Look further.

Of course he does.

Has for a while now.

Why is this news?

Trump also touts his love for and with Kim Jong Un and touts his golfing ability.

Quote
EGYPTIAN PRESIDENT Abdel Fatah al-Sissi is orchestrating constitutional changes that will make him a de facto dictator for life, while permanently enshrining military control over Egypt’s political system. He continues to hold tens of thousands of political prisoners, including at least a dozen U.S. citizens. He has reportedly agreed to spend $2 billion to buy 20 advanced Russian fighter jets, though Egypt receives $1.3 billion in annual U.S. military aid, and a purchase from Russia could incur sanctions.

So how did President Trump assess Mr. Sissi when he arrived at the White House for a visit Tuesday? “I think he’s doing a great job,” said Mr. Trump. “I think we’ve never had a better relationship — Egypt and the United States — than we do right now.”

The president’s judgment might be attributed in part to ignorance...

Battle Mountain Bugle
January 24 ·

Want to see more local news in the Bugle? We are still looking for a staff writer! Duties include covering local government meetings and events, writing on deadline and taking photos. If you’re interested and have strong writing skills, send your resume to [email protected]. We are about to enter into the second month without a local person covering local news and we’d love to get the position filled soon. Spread the word!

https://www.facebook.com/BMBugle/

--------------------

The Battle Mountain newspaper needs a staff writer to cover the news and events. That would be a cool job for someone who wanted to get their foot in the door as a newspaper writer.

Salute,

Tony V.

All our members here who live in Winnemucca, Nevada thank you for the heads up!

Just curious - are you familiar with the concept of a forum topic?

I had been talking with Bambu about the issue of Trump and immigration, and about the fact that we have many areas with plenty of room for growth, including in Battle Mountain, Nevada, where land is cheap and plentiful. Bambu had asked what jobs are available in Battle Mountain, and that post was about a job for a writer in Battle Mountain. So, my post went along with an earlier post about Trump, and immigration.

And also, we have many people on here who are writers, and you never know if someone might be looking for an entry level opportunity to start at the top with a small newspaper in Nevada.

Salute,

Tony V.

Think of it as 'poetic licence'.

Everything is related to 'Trump'..Trump rules the world....immigration, employment/unemployment, immigrants moving to rural areas as Trump states "America is full".
Green dreams, climate change policies, Assange, electric cars, US Marines in Darwin, ANZUS, Anzac Day, walls, EU, asylum seekers on Nauru, Me Too, Central America, South America...seemingly disgruntled politicians downunder...etc.

Julie Bishop creates bad blood with the White House by publicly revealing First Lady Melania Trump once invited her to a 'ladies' lunch' thinking she was the wife of a foreign minister

#####

She seems a tad bitter about not being voted in as Prime Minister by her Party when Turnbull was replaced.

Protests against Assange's US extradition

Protesters will gather at US embassies and consulates around the world to protest the extradition of WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange.
Australian-born Assange was arrested on Thursday after Ecuador withdrew his asylum and he is now in British custody.

He is facing an extradition request from the United States on charges of conspiring to break into a Pentagon computer system.

Protesters in Melbourne will gather at the US consulate on St Kilda Road on Sunday.
Activists are also expected to gather at consular offices and embassies in Sydney, Auckland, Wellington, Dublin and Toronto.

#####

If Britain extradites him, Britain will stand condemned.
Torture and death could await him...movies and books have clearly shown how it all works....Abu Ghraib for example.
I have the book here..."Standard Operating Procedure".
Not a good idea to get on the wrong side of the US govt.
Assange is on the wrong side of the US govt.

The Left/Far Left is about to take power in Australia in May...a republic they seem to want, promising a plebiscite then a referendum.
Wouldn't surprise me if this became a catalyst for change, if Britain extradites Assange.
I can see the banners now "Britain doesn't care about us".

Love listening to you sing the praises and leaping to the defense of a man who was a tool of Russia and who outed gay people for totalitarian regimes.

You support scum.

Nothing new.
