Turtles squawking is also new to me.   Maybe it was a mock turtle.

The Song of Solomon (2:12) talks of spring being when "the voice of the turtle is heard in our land." If turtles have voices, clearly they can squawk, no?

Working against voter suppression is job number 1. It has to be done on the ground.

Some good ideas there.  My latest car purchase, this summer, was partly done with poll transportation in mind.  We have a fair number of people out here who have some difficulty getting to their polling station.  I will be available all voting day, and during the early voting period.

Wonder what would happen if we spent a few billion dollars helping El Salvador gather and retain rainwater and restore the rule of law, instead of spending it on a giant wall to keep its most desperate refugees out. 

Maybe if we could disguise them as Norwegians, the administration would be more receptive to such ideas.
