Trump up 3 in Florida

538 composite of polls has Biden up 3.3 in Florida.   Ever occurred to anyone that Rasmussen,  due to its reputation, is a bit more likely to get agreement to participate in a poll from someone Trump leaning?

https://www.270towin.com/2020-polls-biden-trump/florida/

They have Biden up 4.2, though I note that they don't include the Rasmussen bullshit that Kid swallows.

Hugely normal life here.

One reason that social scientists find for people accepting totalitarian governments is the ongoing promise of social stability and order.

Real democracy is messy and easily reverts or falters.   It seems least chaotic in nations that are smaller and more homogeneous, like Denmark.   Makes me wonder if the US will eventually break up into smaller balkanized units,  some democratic,  some more totalitarian, maybe even a theocracy in the Bible Belt.

Normal for you, maybe.

The Virus has been eliminated here for months.
In the US you have almost as many cases per day as China had in total.
In viral terms, life has returned to pre-2019 normal.

Every country has problems.
Did you see the number of US opioid deaths the past decade that I posted yesterday?  This goes on in the US while you live comfortably.  So does racist policing in a country which has the largest prison population and high rates of violent crime.  One of the best aspects of China is that crime is low and guns are not available.

Really the big negative issue in China is the horrendous treatment of Muslims in the far west.  I'm not even sure what comes second, as that is so monumentally wrong.  Maybe the increased authoritarianism is 2nd.  And the crackdown on religious groups.

Right

Like I said - for you - and for many - things just fine.

Not unlike US.

Yes, those not likely to rock the boat - and stable economically - are quite comfortable.

Including  Christians.
China is not compatible with the Christian West...and as such should not be embraced by it.

I guess you really don't grasp why that post would be seen as condescending and negative.  If you support members right to speak freely and disagree with you, then you wouldn't be "ignoring" anyone.  I never was in "jail," except in the bubble of your imagination.

Now that you've revealed that a bunch of replies I posted to you, which offered some analysis of your comments, were ignored, that only further confirms to me that you like your chickenshit little games and pissing contests.  I really could not care less who you ignore.  If you continue with your Cult of Personality for Trump, and feel uncomfortable whenever I criticize that lousy POS of a president, then just go right ahead and Iggy me again.  Whatever gets your little rocks off.

The "social credit" system?  Sounds pretty Orwellian and horrible to me.

Krug Man puts it so eloquently:

But you also see a lot of libertarian rhetoric — a lot of talk about “freedom” and “personal responsibility.” Even politicians willing to say that people should cover their faces and avoid indoor gatherings refuse to use their power to impose rules to that effect, insisting that it should be a matter of individual choice.

Which is nonsense.

Many things should be matters of individual choice. The government has no business dictating your cultural tastes, your faith or what you decide to do with other consenting adults.

But refusing to wear a face covering during a pandemic, or insisting on mingling indoors with large groups, isn’t like following the church of your choice. It’s more like dumping raw sewage into a reservoir that supplies other people’s drinking water.
