I wish the DEMS had a basic national campaign strategy.
A simple 3 point list of what they would do with a DEM Senate.
Well the voters told the dems what NOT to do.

In the words of democrats themselves we heard:
Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) said that Democrats should never say “defund the police” or use the word “socialism” during a press conference call on Thursday after her party lost many vulnerable seats.

“We have to commit to not saying the words ‘defund the police’ ever again and  warned that if they repeat these leftist tactics, We will get fucking torn apart.”

She called the election results “ a failure” given that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi predicted double digit gains.
So far the party has lost six seats in the House and the vote counting is far from over.

Biden King Maker James Clyburn(House majority whip) had similar thoughts
, if “we are going to run on Medicare for All, defund the police, socialized medicine, we’re not going to win.”

As for Biden the fact that his party lost ground in the House and failed to gain control of the Senate in four consecutive elections means he is not gonna get the Green New Deal, he's not gonna get D.C. as a state or Puerto Rico. He's not gonna pack the court.

Americans, as the voting Tuesday shows, like the checks and balances our Constitution provides.

Thanks for that Paula White link.  That is some demented ish.

There's a demonic confederacy against this election so she has to speak in tongues in  order apparently to unleash angels from Africa and South America to come rectify things for the one Our Lord has declared to be in the White House.

It's either a complete fraud and con, or a very real sign of mental health problems.
Amazing how delusional folks can be in the service of religion.  And it's accepted as somehow normal.

BTW, Paula is reportedly all-in on the prosperity gospel shill, wherein if you're rich it shows that god favors you.  Trump's kind of religion ...

There are so far a minority of GOPers who have condemned Trump's abject lying and fascist commentary attacking our democratic processes at approximately 7:00pm last night.

Truly Making America Great means maintaining our history of respect for our democratic processes, upholding our Constitution, and doing nothing that would render this country as something other than the shining city upon the hill.

Shame on those who support Trump, now, after him coming out and asserting such blatant disregard for our country and its institution of democracy.

God Bless Republicans like Governor Hogan in MD, who immediately responded last night, via tweet, “There is no defense for the President’s comments tonight undermining our Democratic process. America is counting the votes, and we must respect the results as we always have before.”

And Pennsylvania Republican senator Pat Toomey told NBC: “The president’s allegations of large-scale fraud and theft of the election are just not substantiated. I’m not aware of any significant wrongdoing here.”

Even Chris Christie said, "“Show us the evidence. We heard nothing today about evidence.” and “This kind of thing, all it does is inflame without informing, and we cannot permit inflammation without information.”

Paul Mitchell, a Republican congressman of Michigan: “Every legal vote should and will be counted – as they always are...Anything less harms the integrity of our elections and is dangerous for our democracy,."

“Counting every vote is at the heart of democracy. That process is often long and, for those running, frustrating. The votes will be counted.” Mitt Romney, the senator of Utah and former Republican presidential candidate.

But they are not in the majority of the GOP. They are in the minority within that party.

Lindsey Graham, "I'm here tonight to stand with President Trump."

Kevin McCarthy? "Every American should stand up. Whatever they see ... tell us if they see something that's incorrect out there."...though there is on there there!

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's office declined to comment to CNN on Trump's remarks on Thursday evening.

On Friday morning, McConnell tweeted, "Every legal vote should be counted."
"Here's how this must work in our great country: Every legal vote should be counted. Any illegally-submitted ballots must not. All sides must get to observe the process. And the courts are here to apply the laws & resolve disputes. That's how Americans' votes decide the result," McConnell tweeted.

That is hardly a condemnation of the lies that Trump tried to sell last night.

And here? Yes, here on this site we have the likes of RED who gives his consent to rejecting the very foundation of this country by his total silence on the matter.

We have identified a true anti-American among us, and until he states his full rejection of Trump's performance for the cameras on Thursday evening, there is absolutely no reason to consider anything he says here as having a shred of importance or an iota of validity.

As has been the case with him for a long time and quite possibly the entire length of his presence here and on the NYT.

He has consistently lied, denied, and obfuscated on all of the GOP's anti-american actions. No reason to expect him to change any time soon. I'm sure he thought Nixon's interfering with the Paris Peace Talks was fine and Reagan's holding up the release of our hostages as well.

Party before Country has been Ward's mantra all the way along.

Not that it makes one iota of difference to anything...lol..I'm happy if everything is legal, fair, and not compromised.

The American people elected Trump President last time
and Biden President this time.

Red seems to be having a hard time accepting that in the last 2 elections, '18 and '20, the Repubs lost the House and WH.

I had hoped for the D-gains in the Senate, but running against strong incumbents (Mitch. Lindsay, etc.) in mostly red states in the challenging social distancing covid-campaigning for challengers  (ie social distancing and masks limit baby kissing, door knocking, eating hot dogs, pizza, bbq and knishes etc) I think hurt. But picking up seats and flipping Arzona and Col and having 2 shots (likely) in the Georgia run-off gives me hope for a more decent and fairer future. That Cuuningham couldn't keep his dick in his pants, hurt, and did Tuberville in Bama. Maybe the Dems can recruit Saban for the next go round.

I was surprised only by Maine. Well, and Cunningham's inability to keep his dick under control in the middle of an erection election.
