Fine. A government by polling. Another word you like to use but clearly don't know the meaning of: "feckless."
If you are using that as a self-descriptor of yourself I won’t disagree.

Red, the Populist, using the always effective "I know you are, but what am I?" defense.

Defense? Of what?
The Constitution is full of ways to guard against the abuses of the majority.
Please explain how Voter ID laws run afoul of any of them.

One wonders if most everyone, both Trump supporter and Trump foe, watching that sad display of pettiness, didn't think to themselves, "what a fucking asshole"

The message to republicans is that trump will happily spit on your grave. The means of prevention is making sure you get to do it to him first.

Voter iD laws will only prevent in person voter fraud which is virtually non existent. Do you know why in person voter fraud is not a real problem?

Those mahfuckahs always get caught. Too little reward for way too much risk.

But conservatives talk shit because the goal is to make it harder for folks to vote.

If Kris Kobach, (oh, how did that commission turn out?) had his way every polling station in “Democratic” areas would ask every voter:

“How many bubbles are in a bar of soap?”

You’re not fooling anyone but yourselves. See, if your electoral strategy depends on fewer people voting, it means you know your policies suck.

So how did the Commission on Voter Fraud turn out? Oh, yeah. It was disbanded because the entire premise is BULLSHIT and you know it.

A recent study on Voter ID laws found

Specifically, they found “that strict photo identification laws have a differentially negative impact on the turnout of Hispanics, Blacks, and mixed-race Americans in primaries and general elections.”

In an article in the Washington Post (referenced inthe Atlantic article) the authors summarized their conclusion:

By instituting strict voter ID laws, states can alter the electorate and shift outcomes toward those on the right. Where these laws are enacted, the influence of Democrats and liberals wanes and the power of Republicans grows. Unsurprisingly, these strict ID laws are passed almost exclusively by Republican legislatures.

So I see we're going in circles. You can provide no reason for the spate of ID laws beyond your appeal to their alleged popularity. Have a nice night Red.
