On the case itself Thomas seems to have the better argument.

On the argument against a Batson violation Thomas has no argument.  As said, if you don't see a violation here, he won't anywhere.  And indeed, even in a case where Thomas had the prosecutor's notes calling out the black jurors he didn't see it.

Which takes us to the real argument Thomas makes, which is that black defendants have no right to a jury pool free of discriminatory intent under the Equal Protection Clause.  Which is an argument I respect, in a way.  If you are going to be racist, do it proud, rather than hide behind technicalities.

Out of curiosity, what would that reason be?

?
Read Kid's post above.

Sorry it wasn't clear, but my question mark was for emphasis, as in yes kiidcarter8, lets have an answer to the question.

Even the GOP knows it shit the bed.

One flunky cracker out of public service and into Core Civic and GEO Group’s lobbying stable, one Core Civic or Geo Group lobbyist to be installed unvetted into a position he’s in no way qualified for. CBP is under the same diseased hand as DOD.

What trump touches turns to shit except for Red who was shit already and approves of the spreading malaise.

The term "cracker" can only be used by whites, I hope you understand.

White privilege knows no bounds. Thanks for the heads up.

Heh

They think she will win?

Who is they? The market is hedging which doesn’t exude a great deal of confidence in these organizations.

I would say the drop was coincidental.

Of course you would. So what if the rest of the market was going tother way...

Dems with bernie leading the charge have become the party of the free lunch. Following the Venezuelan blue print. A descent into economic darkness.

Luee, you might want to read this. It addesses some of the myths that you are perpetuating as well as some others.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she appealed to President Trump as a mother to get him to back off his threat to deport thousands of illegal immigrants.

”I said, ‘Look, I’m a mom, I have five kids, nine grandchildren, and children are scared,’ ” Pelosi said Monday during a ”Speaker in the House” event in Queens. ”You’re scaring the children of America. Not just in those families, but their neighbors and their communities. You’re scaring the children.”

Quoted in the NY Post.

Playing the "mother card", as if only women can be concerned for the welfare of children. She owed men an apology!

I’m gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and give you a hat tip for the sarcasm because that’s funny.

BTW - have you decided to share the details of the “incident” that makes me unemployable?

Yes, sarcasm, as just about always.

Let's spare everyone the details of the incident, as the NDA I signed with the young girl's family could be violated.

Oops! May have said too much.

Oh, hell. That?

I thought you were talking about the time I yelled at Lisa Myers in the NBCWashington newsroom for telling all the young producers and PAs how the rollout of Healthcare dot Gov was “Obama’s Katrina! One was a natural disaster and the other man made!” Hahahahaha!

Yeah, I knew as soon as I said it my days were numbered but to paraphrase Huck Finn, “I guess I’ll go to hell.”

“You’re really gonna compare the drowning of a major US city where 1500 people died because of the failure of government at every level to a website crash? One was a disaster of major proportion and the other was a fuck up!”

Just think, if I hadn’t been getting FREE coffee at that very moment I wouldn’t have been there and wouldn’t have opened my yap.

Now about that Macao mulatto dwarf, she was quite the spinner and “pretty as a Queen! I didn’t know her pop was a city cop and she was just fifteen!”

Got to keep an eye on those crazy gringos. Now they have concentration camps, they will probably want to go annex something.

http://www.rawstory.com/2019/06/ag-bill-barr-killed-7-robert-mueller-investigations-10-days-after-he-submitted-his-report/

Crime spree. Barr has replaced Cohen who replaced Cohn.

Republicans waddle in slime.

---In 2017, the total cost of illegal immigration for the United States – at the federal, state, and local levels – was approximately $116 billion.---

https://www.fairus.org/issue/publications-resources/fiscal-burden-illegal-immigration-united-states-taxpayers

While I'm mystified why you think you post has anything to do with facilitatorn's post, I'm going to respond to yours, anyway.

My biggest problem with the publication is that it doesn't tell us how they came up with the figures. Maybe I'm misssing a footnote, but no idea where it would be.

Let me give you an example: Massachusetts ostensibly has 236,000 illegal aliens and they have had 80,000 kids, of whom 68,000 are in the public schools - costing $8,487 per kid. Their number for MA is lower than Pew's but double the Migration Policy Institute's figures. The figure for number of children seems quite off, as well. And the per student estimating is... random. Instuctional Spending in 2016 was $9,713/child, but the total spending per kid was $15,593! So, where on Earth does $8487/kid come frrom?!

And that's assuming the average. Many of the kids are likely to end up near Boston. Boston = $20,776.83; Cambridge = $26,778.44; etc. (2017 $$) How does one get that figure?

Conversely, their numbers are higher for Maine, NH, or VT than Pew, by a significant percentage. They think half of the VT kids are in school. They think 85% of the Mass kids are. 75% of NH kids. Half in Maine. 84% in Alabama.

No explanation and total randomness.

This is just the failure of rationality piece, but it gets worse.

They ignore a ton of the taxes that the people pay. They ignore the impact of their spending money. But biggest of them all...

They ignore the impact of the adult children of past illegal aliens, who are citizens contributing to this country in all the ways other citizens do. It's as if once they turn 18 and leave the schools, they disappear.

It doesn't work that way.

Unable to defend his pov, Larry declares victory and then he,  pivots to a different topic.

This is his MO. Same as Trump's.

You don't commute because you're unemployable, given "the incident".

I understand, Larry.

Bottom line, give us a case for reparations and his that moves the country forward.

Or... STFU.

And don’t go hinting about some “incident” that makes me “unemployable.” You got something? Spill.

He likes to petend he knows things he doesn't, to go with the little bits he does know.

So, for example, he has put up my picture. Sometimes, he intimates knowledge about my marital status, too.

It's stupid and illustrates his lack of trustworthiness.

Joshie, a charter member of the illiberal Left, works diligently to silence anyone who does not toe the party line.

Very sad.
On a more regularly regulated board, you would have banned long ago, not because of your politics but because of your conduct, with Josh, with Larry and with banks. Being a worthless Asshole has nothing to do with your politics.
